e85 on Stock evo *8* turbo?? (not 9)
Ive been searching for awhile now and I cant find any info on owners running e85 on there stock evo "8" turbo...I see pages of evo 9 turbos on e85 but thats all..
Are there any dyno sheets or people with the stock evo 8 on e85 that can give there feedback on how its going so far, how much more power did u get? I know for a fact that the evo 9 turbo is a smart upgrade, but as of now im looking for stock evo 8 turbos on e85....what are you seeing in whp, track times ect.

Yes this will be my futre setup for the remainder of this year...im not expecting any crazy high numbers just want to see what others have put down..
Next summer, is new turbo time...I would already have everthing ready for a bigger turbo...its just a matter of getting bigger injectors and a double pumper if needed.

It's at 5500', so there's like 20% altitude correction. Uncorrected is around 325 whp. The altitude kills, that's kind of the point of those charts. Notice how boost tapers off to 16 psi. That's not a mistake. That's all a stock turbo will hold up here, at 7500 RPM. Expect maybe 40 whp at sea level as well as 400 RPM faster spool.

Just tuned my car on e85 last Thursday. You can see the major differences in my signature with just a TBE, MBC, and Buschur open air filter without hardpipe. IMO, it is definitely worth the cost of injectors to gain 70 lb/ft of wtq and 60 whp. Plus, the added benefit of earlier spool up, as well as what feels like much cleaner pulls at WOT.

I'm in the process of building my evo 8 with a 9.8 hotside 8 turbo on e-85. I have a tbe, walbro, gm boost soleniod, an all the pipping and ets front mount. Within this month I am installing kelford 272's with springs n retainers, fic 1050 injectors, head studs, an evo power o2 dump. I'm gonna get tuned for e-85 by reese tuning. i know this is an old post but I'll post numbers once everything is done.
