He's the newbie that comes on the forum and tells us that we don't know **** about MIVEC and we have got it all wrong....
Anyway's there are plenty of places to download stock ROM's, or ROM's with stock maps... my V5 thread for starters...
ps - I don't think your allowed to have multiple usernames....
This wouldn't be a multiple user name, my name is Robert... I've been on these threads since 03', Adam is a very good tuner, and a great personal friend of mine, i'm part of the reason he got an evo. He just doesn't have his stock rom to refer to, as his car was originally tuned by a local shop. After getting word from cosworth that their cams were designed around the stock mivec map, he wants to source what it looked like stock as he only has had a modified map to begin with. He's doing alot of testing on mivec as well guys... Granted this might be the wrong thread to ask for the stock mivec map, but you guys could just post it up instead of acting like he's some noob that doesn't know what he's talking about. Spread the knowledge guys, isn't that what these threads are all about? I'm glad i have a VIII, cuz this mivec tuning seems very complex and i respect all of you guys out there trying to improve upon it.
I can't comment on BC rotating assemblys, but I'd be hard pressed to say his cams are top notch based on the AMS cam test. AMS did a good job of keeping all the other variables constant (boost, timing, AFR) during the cam tests, leaving the actual cams as the test variable. BC cams had less area under the curve and less peak power than other EVO cams with comparable advertised duration numbers. The HKS272 cams made more low end, mid range and top end power than both the 272 and 280 BC cams. Martin also noted that the BC cams required more effort to degree-in properly.
Here's the cam test thread:
