1. Buy a new DP that fits

2. Remove your crossmember altogether

3. Add spacers or washers with longer bolts

#3 shouldn't effect anything but your knock count (if that's what's causing it)... I need to do the same thing.

Thanks for the tip TTP... I'll be doing that on Sunday while I'm dynoing... also removing the bars for that.

I used an engine torque damper on another car that had a rattling downpipe, it helped his car when the car would torque itself, the engine would shift and the downpipe would make contact with the crossmember.. adding the damper stopped the engine from shifting as much and his knock issue went away.. I'm going to try the same thing on my car, plus wrap the downpipe with thermal wrap to insulate it from metal to metal contact.. On his car, it also improved his missed shifts from the binding he was experiencing.

I'd stay away from solid mounts or firm motor mounts simply because it may stop the engine from shifting, but possibly make other noises transmit into the engine..

I put spacers on my tie bar, it was required with the earlier buschur downpipe, but even that wasn't enough to prevent the contact.. When I have some time I'm going to adjust my turbo outlet on the GT35r to see if I can get it to tuck the downpipe up a bit more while I'm under there.

Yep 0-3 is fine . Fix the DP issue and you're good to go.
