If using Windows7 you will also need to copy the dll into the C:/Windows/sysWOW64 folder
Thanks for your help!!! Works perfectly.

Now, I have another question. My car was previously tuned using tephra 5 or 6 and I "read from the ECU." When I use evoscan, everything (JDM Map, etc) are working except for 1 byte load. 1 byte load was reading 0 and then i changed the mut table (4,1) based on other instructions here and now it reads 72 across the board. Do I still need to download a tephra patch to be able to read 1 byte load?

If I do, then what happens to my current map, etc. Any help woud be greatly appreciated.

Thank you!

Assuming you are using a openPort 2.0 cable I would suggest trying to reinstall the drivers to see if that fixes the issue.

Have you changed or updated your virus scanner?
Sometimes these will interfere....

I just unhook it even if the key is still on. As long as you don't unplug it while reading the ecu or flashing you should be fine.

Hopefully this can be answered

so i have an aem 60psi boost gauge with of course the 5 bar map sensor.

now my car is currently on the omni 4 bar and im moving up to 5 bar. is there anyway i can use the two leads from gauge (RS232(blue wire), 0-5v output(white wire)) to hook up to the oem map plug? i really dont want to purchase another 5 bar map sensor.

hopefully you can understand what im trying to say. thanks

also if i do it this way on stock ecu and then later on i switch to a stand alone ecu will it still function

thanks

evoscan and tactix 2.0 cable issues

I am having a disconnecting problem with evoscan 2.9 and tactrix 2.0 cable. connected and datalogs for a few minutes, then disconnects with a error message stating i have to unplug the usb. Is there any settings to make this work? i just went through all the options til i found on that would allow it to connect. I been searching all day and cant find a recent info on this and evoscan support is not responding back to my questions.

upgrade to the latest v2.9.0023 and select disable multithreading from the logging menu. turn off any hdd protection systems by your laptop, ensure that the usb plug is secure when you go over bumps. try a different usb port for a try, and/or try another mini usb cable too.

Ill give that a try. I dont think hard drive protection is a problem. as it does the connectivity issue when sitting at idle. What settings should i be using for 2.0 cable and evo 8? mutIII and efi? i was selecting evo5,6 under the ecu settings and it logs for a few minutes before it disconnects.

I tried what you suggested. I figure it out. i used a com port cleaner reopened evo scan and plug the usb back in and its working fine now. So that might be a issue people are having with evo scan not staying connected.

thanks
