Does anyone happen to know the Part # for the Evo X MAP Sensor? I have a hell of a time finding anything on Mitsubishiparts.net without part numbers... =\

That is the part number for the X MAP sensor, and the one I ordered. Shipping is a bit higher, but it comes out to 148, as mentioned in a previous post.

Is this normal? With the car off (key in on position) and warm I'm seeing fluctuations in the MDP signal. I couldn't hear any solenoids going or anything draining the electrical system and it seemed to happen even after I left it for a minute. I know we have a noisy electrical system thanks to my passport 8500 x50... but re-soldering the power connector choking it solved that problem completely in that instance. I assume something could have been draining the power without my knowledge though.

evoscan v2.5, tephra v5.10, direct boost control on evo IX SE

The minimum increment in boost is about 0.15 psi. If the sensor is right on the fence between two values, the boost can fluctuate about 0.15 psi. Shouldn't be more than that though.

i tried readin through this thread for my answer and couldn't find it. i am interested in running a jdm map sensor or a GM map. i prefer to run gm map since i work at a gm dealer and i can get the part simply and cheap. My question is wats the difference between gm map and jdm. also is there a part number or what vehicle should i say i need a map for, like an impala???

Possibly the voltage range and scaling. MrFred is helping me get the Zeitronix 3.5 bar map sensor to work on my car and its not the easiest thing to get it to work so far. I'm hoping he has time to get it to work better with higher resolution. In short, its more plug 'n play to use the JDM map although any map sensor can be used if you can bribe an ECU guru to help you lol.

mfred, on the rom 94170014 you have 4 voltage check address's and only 3 corrections. Same for the 94170018 is it safe to say that nothing changes on the 4th address which defaults to 4.2 volts? or do we erase the extra "MAP Test 2: Low VE Max Voltage"

Thanks
