Background

USDMEVO9SE w/ 88590015 (dumped rom from car, stock).
ECUFLASH V1.35

Followed the instructions in the first post but I'm running into problems with some of the values not being exactly correct.

For example my MAP scaling value stock is

0.84,11
1.37,20
1.90,31
2.43,40
2.96,48
3.49,57
4.02,67
4.55,80
5.00,255

While the instructions says it's supposed to be

4.00 67
4.53 80
4.98 255
I tried changing it to the JDM values

2.85 138
3.24 158
3.63 255
but for some reason, some of the numbers get rounded up and it ends up like below

0.51,20
0.90,40
1.29,57
1.69,78 (I typed in 1.68 but it changed it to 1.69)
2.08,97 (I typed in 2.07 but it changed it to 2.08)
2.45,117 (I typed in 2.46 but it changed it to 2.45)
2.84,138 (I typed in 2.85 but it changed it to 2.84)
3.24,158
3.63,255

When I enter the value 1.46, it actually sets it to 1.45.

Everything else entered fine though. Would these slight changes cause any problems? Anybody else run into this problem?

I had to stop selling them due to lack of time. Check out the group buy Speed Element has going. Their price is as good as my price was before I stopped selling.

I did a custom patch for a 98640011 customer several months back. Was waiting for a result from the customer to hear how well it worked, but never heard back. I suppose I should just post the patch.

You can also buy the Evo X map sensor which is 3 bar and the same as the
jdm map sensor. Mistubishiparts.net sells them for about 148 shipped and
they are in stock!

Im pretty new to all this but have been playing around with the hex file, can anyone have a look at this and tell me if it is correct, the car is a JDM VII 98640014, the values for the EGR MAP CHECK 1 & 2 don't need to be changed in this revision i think.

anyway this is what I have come up with, do I just follow all other values when changing to the 3bar JDM sensor?

<table name="MAP Test 1: Mid VE Max Voltage" category="MAPSensor" address="2046" type="1D" level="1" scaling="Volts16"/>

<table name="MAP Test 1: Mid VE Min Voltage" category="MAPSensor" address="2044" type="1D" level="1" scaling="Volts16"/>

<table name="MAP Test 2: Low VE Max Voltage" category="MAPSensor" address="204A" type="1D" level="1" scaling="Volts16"/>

<table name="MAP Test 3: High VE Min Voltage" category="MAPSensor" address="204E" type="1D" level="1" scaling="Volts16"/>

<table name="EGR MAP Check 1" category="MAPSensor" address="4940" type="2D" level="1" scaling="uint8">
<table name="RPM" address="54EE" type="Y Axis" elements="9" scaling="RPM"/>

</table>

<table name="EGR Pressure Diff" category="MAPSensor" address="1F60" type="1D" level="1" scaling="Volts16"/>

I have your PM in front of me. I'm hoping to post instructions for a patch either tonight or tomorrow some time.

Did you have to do anything special, or did you just follow the instructions for 96940011?

Don't do the 96940011 instructions. Those instructions will not work at all. By "just works" he means that all you have to do is install the sensor, and EvoScan will read it. No mods to the ROM are needed for logging boost.
