You've uploaded the changed ROM to your ECU, correct? Sorry if I'm asking the obvious, but need to be sure. If yes, then PM me, and I'll have you email me your ROM.
by rom do you mean the map? No, I flashed my car with the same original map just with the US map settings instead of the jdm map settings when I put the US map back in.
Is this normal mrfred?

The ROM is what gets uploaded to the ECU using ECUFlash. Its the "program" that the ECU runs. The maps are in the ROM.
Oh so you're referring to the fiile in the folder named rommetadata in ecuflash folder right titled 88590015?
Do you mind if I send you my map and rommetadata file 88590015?

ROM: This is the file that is uploaded/downloaded from the ECU. The ROM file has all the maps, and ECUFlash is used to modify the maps in this file.
88590015.xml: This file contains the addresses of all the known maps in the ROM file. Its a guide that ECUFlash uses to display the maps in the ROM. The 88590015.xml file is not uploaded or downloaded from the ECU.
I'm sure what's happening in your situation is that one of the tables got overlooked when you were converting back to stock values. Probably best solution is for you to send me your ROM file. I'll PM you know with my email address.

Got it resolved, It was the battery was low and had pretty much trickle charge it back to start the car. I have a mini battery and the Evo is not driven very often. Guess will leave the trickle charger on all the time now.
Thanks to all those that made all the suggestions. Especially mrfred for making this mod as simple as writing this post.

I am setting this up for a friend running the 96420007 rom. Do we need to change the MAP test 2 value, if not can you just say it can be left alone? Also the MAP test 4 value was 1.50 not 1.80.

If the instructions don't ask for it to be changed (yes, I've forgotten exactly what I wrote) then its ok to leave it. :-)
A quick question for you mr. fred. By any chance would you know off your head what your jdm map sensor reads at idle for vacuum ?
Thanks again for all your work and help. I had no problems with your directions just read and then re-read to make sure. Everything works fine it seems.

ahh ty. hmm i usually see about -5 psi vac on idle. not sure if its because of my rich idle problem but im sure theres no boost leaks.
I believe I have a bad maf and a very cool evom member by the name of mixmastermatt offered to come by with a good maf swap it in and help me figure out my problem. It was some good news for once and i appreciate it a lot.
