i just t'd into the FPR line, no need to drilling the mani..

the logging from evoscan just requires it to be wired up correctly, you don't need to worry about setting the ECU up for it

92 = signal
42 = power
49 = ground

thats from the manual, but just double check it yourself

the nice thing about logging MUT38 (MAP sensor) is you don't need to change anything in the ECU to get it to work.

so just wire it up and then log MUT38 and it should just work.

if you want to use the MAP internally though then yes you will need to change stuff in the ECU

The JDM MAP sensor can log as high as 30-31 psi of boost while the GM tops out closer to 28 psi, but the JDM MAP sensor has a funny shape that is not easy to adapt to a vacuum/boost line.

There is a max WGDC vs Coolant temp table. Looks like this:

20c - 0.0% WGDC
30c - 0.0% WGDC
40c - 0.0% WGDC
50c - 0.0% WGDC
60c - 50.0% WGDC
70c - 100.0% WGDC
80c - 100.0% WGDC
82c - 100.0% WGDC

And a WGDC Limit table (Cold engine/ CEL) that looks like this:

63% WGDC

also a Max WGDC Correction table that looks like this:

0 TP - 0 correction
13 TP - 0 correction
25 TP - 0 correction
38 TP - 0 correction
50 TP - 0 correction
63 TP - 0 correction
75 TP - 0 correction
88 TP - 16 correction
100 TP - 16 correction
OK, Im lame and havent been around for a sec. Razor, wanna explain this stuff to me.

Just wondering if there's any advantage to this over and MBC? Thanks!

See these:

at least for showing differences between using a MBC and ecu-boost control.

The JDM MAP sensor is for logging boost OEM style or using it for psi-target ecu-boost control.

I NEED HELP

im trying to do this step to my map. i cant seem to get my egr pressure diff to 0.04 it wont let me raise or lower % in 1. it only go's from 12 to 6 to 0 and back to 6. i dont understand.

also one step says
Change *both* tables to:

750 84
1000 84
1250 73
1500 65
1750 60
2000 55
2500 48
3000 43
3500 23

well i cant find *both* where is it???

i have an 03 evo and i am useing the right internal ID - 94170008

here is what it says on page one.

MAP Test 1: Mid VE High Voltage Test -- Change from 4.61 volts to 4.90 volts.

MAP Test 1: Mid VE Low Voltage Test -- Change from 0.10 volts to 0.06 volts.

MAP Test 3: High VE Voltage Test -- Change from 1.80 volts to 0.51 volts.

"EGR MAP Offset #1" should read:

750 97
1000 86
1250 75
1500 67
1750 52
2000 56
2500 65
3000 63
3500 60

And "EGR MAP Offset #2" should read:

750 97
1000 86
1250 84
1500 67
1750 52
2000 56
2500 65
3000 63
3500 60

Change *both* tables to:

750 84
1000 84
1250 73
1500 65
1750 60
2000 55
2500 48
3000 43
3500 23

Change the "EGR Pressure Diff" from 0.12 to 0.04.

If you wish to disable the EGR test, change the ECU Periphery2 parameter from EFDF to EDDF. (Type 0xEDDF.)

If you wish to disable the EGR test, change the ECU Periphery2 parameter from EFDF to EDDF. (Type 0xEDDF.)

will that stop the CEL light from popping up??
