I have a JDM 2006 Evo ix.

i am currently running rom - 88580014 with Teprhra's Mod v5.10.

i am changing over to a 3" tBE exhaust, in addition JDM evos have no rear O2 Sensor.

i apologize for not reading all 27 pages, but is there a way to remove the CEL even though i don't have a rear O2 sensor?
bump for help!

you need to run the tephramod 5.10 ROM with rear 02 simulator.

THEN you will need to use a 47ohm resisitor (i think) to simulate the heater element!

so just read all 27 pages (my boss is gonna kill me for wasting company time!).

here in Trinidad we don't need to pass emissions etc. all i want to do is remove the CEL that is caused by having no rear 02 sensor (JDMs have none).

is there anyway with 88580014 to completely remove the CEL via Ecuflash? or do i need to find another rom that would work on my car and mod that xml to include Tephra's mod and the rear O2 CEL delete(e.g. 88580015)?

Thanks

with 88580014 just run my mod and then leave the rear02 sensor in the pipe....

that will stop the cel from changing your frontpipe...

i have NO rear O2 sensor, its a JDM IX.

i have a bung on my test pipe and i plan to run my LC-1 WB sensor there.

Hence, i want to remove the CEL on the whole!

we spoke in another thread, i am coming from a JDM map, but Mellon is Tuning my car and my JDM rom is giving him some trouble to open on his ECUflash.

he suggested i move to your 88580014!

is there any other popular rom i can flash to that will have alll the features of a JDM 2006 IX?

I'm using two 1/4 watt 150 ohm resistors in parallel;resulting in a 75 ohm load. No heat issues, and no CEL.

Hi mrfred / hi all,

I have Evo 9 EDM with the rom 88840017.

I currently don`t have a cathalytic convertor on my car and I had the engine light code "on" after I change the exhaust.

With some help I flash again my rom but with the back O2 sensor disabled using periphery bits. The engine code is off now but I did`nt have time to drive the car so I made until now after reflashing only 50 km.

At this momment engine light code is still closed and hopefully this will not be on again. This I will see in the nest future.

My question for U is if your disabling mode for O2 back sensor works also for my rom? I want to know this if my check engine code light will be on again.

My concern is that I can`t use Evoscan at this time (cable missing) in order to read the front O2 sensor voltage in order to check if it goes between 0.1volts and 0.9 volts with the engine warmed up.

I have only Tactrix 2.0 is another option to read those values using another datalogging software??

Now with the rear O2 sensor disabled my car will run only in closed loop??
Is any issue about this that I must take in consideration? What is the worse case scenario in matter of running with rear O2 sensor dissabled?

Until reflashing my rom with the rear O2 sensor disabled I met some idling stumbling with the engine light on. Now those problems disappeared.

I don`t have problems with the inspection test because here they read the noxious directly from the exhaust so my only trouble was the light on.

Is there a link in matters on "proper functioning" between disabling the rear O2 sensor and the front O2 sensor functioning mode?

Thanks so much!!

Take care

The rear O2 sensor has no effect on engine performance, at least for USDM cars. Its strange that your car ran better after applying the sim patch.
