Dont wait bro, it's a protection, you don't need to hit the rpm studder in order to shift, it's just there to keep you from damaging the motor. Shift as fast as you can though man.

that is engine inertia, not much you can do to make it rev down quicker except installing a light flywheel/clutch. with the throttle plate open it lets the engine freewheel a slight bit more. my shifts are quicker than the engine can decel with or w/o nlts anyway. just make your shift let the clutch out and it will catch up real quick.

In your case, use (copy and paste) the code in the XMLcode file that is named "1.30 and below." Its pretty straight forward. And NO, you don't copy that into the evobase, you copy it into your ROM XML, like in my case 70008....throw it in at the end of the file after the last /table and before /rom.

The .bin file is the actual modded ROM. You will have to open this rom in ECUflash after you've modded your XML file and then open the rom you have in your ecu now. You then have to copy EVERYTHING you've changed in your current rom into the modded one and reflash with the modded one now set up for your car.

I understand now, thanks bruda. I'm going to mess with this when I get home.

I concur on the bottom clutch switch for NLTS. I road race and often "cover" the clutch pedal in a tight spot where I need to quickly decide what to do. This causes problems when using the top clutch switch. I'm no drag racer so I don't mind sacrificing the split second that it takes for the pedal to travel to the bottom switch, but it sure is agrrevating when I just TOUCH the pedal and the car starts bucking and feeling like it's gonna 'splode! lol

Guys, the bottom switch is just not feasible for NLTS. The whole shifting process takes less than half a second as it is. If you use the bottom switch, you are leaving half of that time.

Also, most of us will never even hit the botton switch when switching. And, the clutch disengages from the engine before the bottom switch is activated, so if you used the bottom switch for NLTS, your RPMS would fly to your normal rev limiter. The same holds true on the way up.

If you logically think about it for a second, you want the NLTS limiter activated for the entire time that your clutch is disengaged from the engine, from the moment of the shift to the moment that the clutch is mated back with the engine. This is what the top clutch switch is for.

sure, maybe if the switch was a just a couple centimeters longer it would help out a couple of people who rest their foot on the clutch, but that is just a habit that you have to break, unless someone finds a way to lengthen that switch.

I know it may be a pain to a couple of people, but believe me, you must use the top switch. It will not work otherwise.

Well right now my NLTS is set to loose 2500 RPM. When I go to shift without lifting it's like I hit fuel cut and they car practically dies.

Do I need to make it less than 2500rpm loss? Like 500 or 1000?

The car is hitting fuel cut, that is what the NLTS is doing. What RPM are you shifting at? 2500 does sound like a bit too much to me. Try around 1500.

I'll give that a shot. I'm going to the track tonight so I got all kinds of time to tinker with it more.

thanks TTP - I found that bug today

ALL ROMS UPDATED

Hi All,

I have v2'd all the ROM's - fixes the KnockCEL bug that was being talked about - and the above bug by TTP.

Hopefully I didn't make any mistakes in each package - please let me know if you find something

Cheers
Dave
