Meth Failsafe and Patches
Question MrFred, did you confirm that the ICS light pinout works on your ECU and I assume its +12V?
Also I need the Pin #'s for EVo IX ECU:
Also I need the Pin #'s for EVo IX ECU:
- (pin 64) ADC Input
- (pin 90) ICS light output
- (pin 99)Switched +12v power supply (i.e; ignition)
- (pin 46) Chassis Ground
(signal source only, no load capacity!!!!)[/B]

Me too but if its not, we can always add a L.E.D. with ease, especially since we found ECU Harness pins that only cost 9 cents each
I'm not sure that
woulda wasted the time to remove the light bulb and wiring, although they do remove the ICS switch and swap cupholders so, who knows.
We'll just need MrFred to confirm there is a bulb or at least a wire in the harness already.

I found some from your PDF and from another PDF I found. I added both attachments to this post for ya. Can you confirm the +12V ignition pinout? You'll have to unplug the ECU harness' and see which one gets +12V with the key in the "ON" position and also while cranking the engine. That confirms it is a true ignition and not an accessory wire.
Also check that pin 90 turns on and off when the ADC input is switched on and off. Also see if its +12V switched or it switches to ground if you can.

Pin 68 is the starter relay signal
Pin 99 is the ignition switch in the "on" position
I can't check the behavior of the ICS relay until tephra gets me a ROM to try. He may not have something for me right away. We've got another little project that he might be working on.

Damn, was hoping to finish this thing this weekend
Those pins get to you yet?
And whats this 'other' little project? Got me curious now, lol. PM me.

Other project: software rear O2 simulator. Let's not discuss here though. There will be a new thread soon.
I finally gathered all of the pics and stuff I need for the EVO VIII ADC input tutorial but I don't think I will have time to make a new thread for it until tomorrow. Here is a sample of just one of the wiring options and the end result.
ON/OFF switch hidden inside pocket and red L.E.D mounted on panel.

ADC switched ON:

ADC switched OFF:

Here is a cheesy digi cam video I took too, for fun

yup.
So if you don't have ICS button then you can wire up a simple switch to the ADC circuit.
If you have Meth then you can use the same ADC circuit to control what maps to use.
I should have 88590015 done today MrFred!
Work is just a frenzy at the moment which is why I havn't done anything in a couple of weeks
Cheers
