So far I have averaged 26 mpg in two tanks with 70/30 freeway/street driving. I drive the speed limit or slightly less. Here in SoCal the speedlimit is 65 mph. I do not go into boost and keep the car in max amount of vaccum on the gauge.
What rpm range do you tend to hold?

so i have 03 with rom 94170008. my Open Loop Throttle Low and High Load tables are not set in percentages, they go between 3.01 and 1.70 (which i belive is volteage?)

how do i interpret that in percentage of open throttle to adjust table to an equivalent 30%?

Thanks

I stay at 2800-3000 rpm when cruising @65 mph on the freeway.

why not use both and have it go into open loop based on certain load and/ or certain tps% or voltage?

Fill tank full, drive till light comes on and note mileage. Fill tank full again, and take that noted mileage and divide by the amount of gallons the car JUST took to fill up again.

that 13.5 at 90-120 load is going to make you run rich as hell on tip in.

I'm now messing the MIVEC maps a bit. I tried three different maps today with different values in the lower load cells (load of 100 and below). The first map was essentially the stock map, the 2nd, which has slightly more aggressive advance, was essentially the JDM RS map, and the third, which has yet more advance, was something very close to what nj1266 posted in his "how to tune an Evo" thread. It was very hard to tell the difference between the "moderate" map and the stock map. The most aggressive map gave mild improvements in torque over stock in the 2000 - 2500 rpm range, but it was very mild. I had to do back-to-back runs on the same piece of road to be sure. The two maps are posted below.

That will very likely be it for my MIVEC adjustments for economy tuning. I'm switching over to messing with timing one last time to see if there are any more improvements to be made with yet more timing.

First map: Essentially stock for loads of less than 90

Third map: Similar to nj1266's map for loads of less than 100

I find advancing MIVEC at idle gives better drive-ability off the line.

ie I dont need to rev the car so much to take of in normal traffic.
