I don't quite understand the following statement in the directions for 88590015:

"4) Remove your current Hi/Lo Octane Fuel+Timing #2 and #3, only #1 matters anymore"

I have ECUFlash 1.34. I only show one high octane fuel and one low octane fuel map, and then the 3 high octane ignition maps and 3 low octane ignition maps as follows:

<table name="High Octane Fuel Map" address="2dbd">
<table name="Engine Load" address="6ec8" elements="20" scaling="Load"/>
<table name="RPM" address="6ea0" elements="15"/>
</table>

<table name="Low Octane Fuel Map" address="2ef5">
<table name="Engine Load" address="6ec8" elements="20" scaling="Load"/>
<table name="RPM" address="6ea0" elements="15"/>
</table>

<table name="High Octane Ignition Map 1" address="33e9">
<table name="Engine Load" address="6f2c" elements="21" scaling="Load"/>
<table name="RPM" address="6efa" elements="20"/>
</table>

<table name="Low Octane Ignition Map 1" address="3599">
<table name="Engine Load" address="6f2c" elements="21" scaling="Load"/>
<table name="RPM" address="6efa" elements="20"/>
</table>

<table name="High Octane Ignition Map 2" address="5523">
<table name="Engine Load" address="6f2c" elements="21" scaling="Load"/>
<table name="RPM" address="6efa" elements="20"/>
</table>

<table name="Low Octane Ignition Map 2" address="56d3">
<table name="Engine Load" address="6f2c" elements="21" scaling="Load"/>
<table name="RPM" address="6efa" elements="20"/>
</table>

<table name="High Octane Ignition Map 3" address="5a33">
<table name="Engine Load" address="6f2c" elements="21" scaling="Load"/>
<table name="RPM" address="6efa" elements="20"/>
</table>

<table name="Low Octane Ignition Map 3" address="5be3">
<table name="Engine Load" address="6f2c" elements="21" scaling="Load"/>
<table name="RPM" address="6efa" elements="20"/>
</table>

What about fuel am I supposed to remove? I gather that I am to remove the #2-3 low and high octane ignition table entries. It's fuel I'm confused about.

because it got buried, anyone?

They will be here in May. I should be one of the only people in the U.S. (among other countries lol) who has ANY. These suckers are near impossible to get, what a pain it was.

Yes that is right. Only one hi/lo fuel. Three hi/lo timing.

Or use the Evo VIII harness for now and I will send you the IX pin when they come in, free of charge. I have about 6-7 members using the VIII harness with a IX ECU right now. Its a tight fit in the unused pin location, its just that the VIII pin has no way to "lock" in so they just ziptie the wire to the factory harness to keep if from moving. Good enough until the pins come in

Yes you can remove #2/#3 BDEL's as well!

The O2Sim is the same algorithm as MrFred but implemented slightly differently

Cheers
Dave.

Simply removing the Table's address and leaving it blank should be enough to disable it correct? That way it just grays out because its an incomplete table? Plus you won't be trying to access any particular ROM location so you can't screw anything up

It was 0x8929 in my 94170014. The eval formula I used in evoscan was (x/256)*5 to read the voltage input. I just threw the 0x8929 in an unused MUT location in my 3D MUT Table. I believe MUT 83 shows the ALT map switching and will show a 0 when its in standard maps and 1 when its in the ALT maps. Worst case, I'll have you send that one back and I'll priority mail you a new one.
LED works fine. I'm using the same rom as you.... 9417004. I don't have a volt meter, probably get my hands on one and test it tonight or tomorrow.

Yes - sorry I should say:

With regards to "removing" 2/3 (timing/bdel/bwgd) its upto you, but probably renaming the table to something like "original name + DONT USE" might be best.

That way you can still "see" it, but you get a visual reminder not to use it!

Cheers

Hey Jeff,

Can you log 0xFFFF8425 in a spare MUT?

0 = should standard maps
3 = altmaps

Cheers

Logging 0xFFFF8929 shows you the input voltages in bytes. It will register between 0 and 255. It should be 0 when its off (in standard maps).
