Brandon - yeah well 15 is newer than 14 so I will get that one out as well

Shadow - well since you are 88590013/4/5 then you can only really do 0 or 1, and yes if you choose 0 it will just use your stock maps!

Oh dont rush yourself, you have done alot for the evo community we are all greatful of it. I was just curious, I like learning

yeah once I get my car back from the dealer I'll test 0014 with my 0008. going to wire up the alt map switching to my failsafe, the Aquamist guys are going to love this mod using ecu boost (or any w/i kit with a good failsafe). Once the DDS3 detects a failure (or w/i kit failsafe) swith to the standard map w/ low boost (fail safe map). just have to set the alt map threshold so it does it no matter what load.

Ok, I'm a noob to this stuff and I'm trying to pick it up as best as I can so here goes.

What are we suppose to do with this:

NOTES:
1) Change your ENDIAN just below, ECUFlash version 1.31 and higher = "big", 1.30 and lower = "little"

Then it says:

Remove your current "Boost Desired Engine Load" #2 and #3, only #1 matters anymore

Ok so I understand that we need to delete "Boost Desired Engine Load #2 and #3. So does what I have boxed in red look correct as far as what needs to be removed?

Also I did the 2 byte MUT table and was wondering since I did that, then where do I need to post this patch into my xml file? Man I'm lost

The 94170014 and 94170015 are very similar roms. There are only about a dozen or so values that are different. The 15 IMO is a small tweak from the 14 which was a substantial change from the original 94170008 rom for the 2003 USDM.

Tephra we appreciate your efforts!

Excellent. I will keep it at 0 then. I actually kept the #2/#3 tables in for BDEL, WGDC, and ignition. I tried to change their names to reflect that they aren't being used anymore and were only for show, but as soon as I did they wouldn't show up when I'd open the MAP file in ECUFlash. Weird.

Also, I am not up to speed on 2-byte MUT table. I am familiar with the other thread regarding how to set up 2-byte load on a IX ---> https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/sh...hlight=dummies

Is this still valid for your modified ROM?

What if we have rom specific mods for our rom ID?

I dont know if 0014 rom is going to work with my rom mods on 0008 ie mrfred ecu boost mods

unless I can use 0008 settings for 0014 rom, I mean it seems like it would work just want to make sure thats all

I think it should work. You will probably have to use different addresses though for the mods not contained in the V5. This is because of the significant differences between the 08 -> 14 & 15 roms. I think Tephra and mrfred and others are trying to not step on each other's code.

I am running the 94170008 and will be moving to the 94170015. I am going to skip the 94170014. It is going to take some time to sort out the differences though.

Sounds like we need a thread to coordinate all available mods to the early USDM 03-04 evos.

Yeah your right, after I tried it I found out LOL but mrfred is half done with ecu boost mods for 0014. In the mean time I am going to use 0014 v5 and go back to the older load base boost.

I switched from the 88590013 to the 88590015 with the v5 patch. Everything went perfectly and everything works perfectly. Thanks for all the help and continued betterment of this vehicle and community.
