ECU controlled Window Switch

Tephra, MRFred This goes out to you guys mostly. I have a Nitrous setup in my car and was trying to find a way to activate this through the ECU. Maybe by using a PINOUT for the intercooler sprayer to activate and spray randomly above a certain threshold.

I am trying to activate my intercooler sprayer which usually needs to be activated for 10 seconds at a time, maybe once every 2 minutes or such. Do you think an idea like this is feasible?

Pin 57 is the IC sprayer relay. I would put a Hobbs pressure switch inline with this for saftey so that nitrous doesen't accidentally turn on without boost and probably put a RPM window switch in line as well so you don't smash your rods by having it turn on at too low of an RPM. If the rpm window switch, hobbs switch, and the IC relay conditions are met, you have nitrous.

I'm sorry, forget about the rpm window switch. Get a hobbs pressure switch. You can buy one non adjustable or buy one allready set to a certain pressure. mcmastercarr.com sells them, just type in hobbs pressure switch. I would say set it for like 15-20psi if you run 25-30psi of boost. That way the pressure switch has to be made AND the ecu has to set the ground for the output on pin 57 at the ecu. Have give the ground to a relay. Then use the contacts of the relay to turn on the nitrous solenoid and/or fuel solenoid if your running a wet kit.

So you are saying the water spray output could be used as a rpm window switch? Is there a current modified ROM that allows it to be controlled by RPM only. I want something like the to engage mivec on a 4g92.

Were you able to get the nitrous to work via the intercooler sprayer pin out?

This sounds like exactly what I want to do but haven't been able to find any solid data on it.

You can do something like this with Tephra's ROMS. I learned this from JOT. Just set the knock required to turn on intercooler water spray to zero and set the load where you want it to come in and use the waterspray output to activate it.

Does it have to be load or can I set it by RPM?

I am looking to wire it up like I had it on my DSM. In DSMLink I wired it to the factory FPR output. It would work between a certain RPM, below a certain amount of knock, above a set MPH. Would it be the best to wire it up to the intercooler sprayer output or best to wire it up to something else?
