here's my DLL vs VDR on EVOM comparator using the same log, the shape is similar so it's just a different correction and maybe smoothing

The car has an AMS short block in it.. All ARP fasteners, oliver rods, AMS spec Ross pistons, Oringed block, head is still unported, JUN 272s with supertech dual springs, VSR intake mani, Mil Spec 65mm TB. So it has a stock unported head and stock crank.. thats about whats left of the stock internals

Fuel economy even with E85 isn't that bad as long as u stay out of boost... especially when you take into consideration the price per gallon.. and what it would be to run a fuel that will make close to the same power which would be Q16. I get prolly 18 or so hwy MPG i would guess.. Its honestly not that bad on the hwy especially. Never really did any hardcore fuel mileage testing yet.

Thats A LOT closer on the EVOM Comparator then my DLLs are to the EVOM Comparator from other stock ECU cars... And I have tried cars from 300WHP to 600WHP on DLL to my VDR and had to use a 1.1 correction to make them close. I figured your DLL would be in the 700s on that one for sure.

It may be due to the weight variance from his actual vehicle weight. Once we get this dialed in with the new software we could EASILY have a DLL option on the dyno simulator dropdown list since things will be a heck of a lot more consistent. I'm excited to see where bbarnhill takes this. If I had the time i would have ironed out MOST of the bugs already but the last time I was able to mess with it, I had added SOOO many things that I just had calculation errors hidden all over the place. The #1 thing we'll make sure is consistent is the EVO-M Comparator. That thing is worth its weight in GOLD on here.

As long as i can change correction factor to read like the Dyno Jet I dyno on is all i care about. I never use the EVOM correction factor... But i guess its valuable for some so they can compare each other on the forum?

Yeah there will always be a USER adjustable Dyno correction factor so users can tailor their results to match their local dyno. The Evo-M Comparator is a nice "'manhood' measuring stick", as one memebr pointed out a whil;e back lol. It lets you know where you compare in the forums. Its nearly impossible to do comparisons with peoples dyno results worldwide but with the street simulator and a LOCKED correction factor we now can compare cars quite accurately.

It would be great if it still gives you the option of doing also copy/paste so you do not have to modify and save new logs. Sometimes a log have more than one pull or more than one instance of 100 Trottle. I really like the copy/paste option, just a thought.

I keep getting a HUGE dip in power half way through the pull, but it only does this on some logs. It is not the car, any ideas? Also, whenever I try to select evo 9 6 speed, it wont show the dyno graph anymore.

Thanks

This is 5.6

^^ Just out of curiosity, are you logging / doing your pull on a flat, straight section of road? If there are elevation changes, that will affect your log.

Yes I am, the same log will actually be a little different each time I load it into VDR.

First, you need to lookup the gear ratios for your particular transmission model # f5m42 (most likely online or in a haynes service manual perhaps). It appears that 3rd gear= 1.379, 4th gear=1.030, and the final drive gear=3.722

If you did a 3rd gear pull, find the gear ratio for 3rd gear and for your FINAL DRIVE gear. Enter those values on the page where you select your tire diameter.

On the dyno page, for transmission type selecet the USER option. This makes the simulator use the gear ratios you manually entered on the other page. The drag coefficient won't be the same since right now its only set for an evo 8/9 but it will get you a ballpark figure.

This will at least allow you to see relative changes in performance (good for trying out new mods, tunes, setups, etc.

make sure you delete the prior log data before pasting, The new log you did probably isn't as long and you are get duplicated rpms

Thats true, thats a bug that happens in v5.6 for some crazy reason. It always overwrote all of the old data before. Well, hopefully soon the stand-alone software will be launched and everything will be heavenly
