Patch: Force OBD Inspection Pass (acamus, mrfred)
I don't know what version I have, but that's what I was talking about with adding the scaling to the evo7base file. There is a post a few pages back that says what to add where. That fixed it for me anyway. Sorry I'm not quoting it here, I'm at work and only have a minute...
Yes that is what i did. I added the to blobbits scaling to the evo7base.xml .. I was able to see the full table, but instead of seeing a 0 or 1 value, i instead see (no match).
Blobbits weren't added until 1.3x of EcuFlash, if memory serves. You'll really need to run a newer version to use that.
Contact whoever sold you your cable if you can't get a newer version of EcuFlash to work with it; if it's a Tactrix or EvoScan cable, they should definitely be able to take care of you.

ok...so i've been following the video tutorial to a "T" and cannot get past the part of saving the newly pasted tables. i have ecuflash closed...nothing but notepad open, but when i go to save file, it gives me the following error: Access is Denied!
what am i doing wrong??
I am running Windows 7 and my ROM file is 88590015

^^^just a wild guess but is the file a read only? or try opening as admin. (I guess you got that cable then, saw you on norcal.)
this is awesome! With this reflashed in the ecu I was able to reset the ecu in the parking lot and pass (i threw a cel on the way to test and on the way back

does anyone else have experienced what i asked before?
Having a scanner showing only three channels as Ready and the rest as N/A, will the car pass inspection?
i am using a 88590715 rom...
you should set it to be the same tests it came with or your just asking for trouble
i have rom 94170008. i believe i set all 4 hex's correctly in the 3 OBD inspection tables yet my monitor available and monitor pass is all "0"....
i also have the issue where monitor available and monitor pass pop-up window is way too small

88590015
I have 88590015
and have done the edits using Notepad ++, and while I get the two charts showing what is tested and what status is I don't get the three values that I need to edit.
Yes, I have version 4.2 of ECUFlash and yes, I have done both patches.
Any advice or suggestions?
UPDATE - ********* - SOLUTION
Got it to work on a desktop - WHY? - because I have been loading ECUFlash from some of the earliest versions and they never were removed completely enough to get rid of all the crap. My desktop was "clean" in that respect. I guess I will have to really clean off my laptop and re-install ECUFlash.

I hate to ask this....but if I just leave the settings as they are in the stock 9653, where EGR is set to 1 (available) but also 0 (failed), does that mean the car will show as failed on EGR even if it's in good, working order?
I think perhaps since there are 4 hex codes to change, 3 do something I can see, that perhaps the 4th may set these values to be referenced, so if I change none of the hex values, my car should just get inspected like normal, right? I dun wanna cheat unless I have to.
*Edit* Turns out I didn't need to cheat, the aftermarket gas cap wasn't up to snuff. I went and got an OEM one, and that did the trick.

It will set your items to show as "ready" to the emissions tester, but if you have a check engine light that will still come on after the allocated amount of time. You will have to fix the check engine from the EGR some other way.
Ok, so i'll have to change the EGR periphery's and then do this. Read a lot about idle problems after doing that so I wanted to stay away from it, but I guess after I get my sticker I can just undo it.
