Patch: Force OBD Inspection Pass (acamus, mrfred)
Perhaps....you can also put an Evo ECU in the 2g as well though, right? Don't take my word, but I think that's been done. Then, not only do you get this one piece....you'd have a whole plethora of stuff that Evo's also get! Lancer ppl like myself can flash the evo rom right onto our ECU, wouldn't it be nice if it were that easy for you guys as well (no idea here...just spitballin')
As for EGR guy, you could remove it, pass the car, then put it back....or fix it, or keep it removed. I'd prefer the later 2 suggestions, at least clean it while you have it out, that may fix the issue!~

Well, the dsm 98-99 ecu is flash based and uses the same hardware/software and protocol to flash with, so almost everything the evo ecu does the dsm ecu will do but without any monkeying around with custom harness's or mivec errors from no mivec and I dont even know about the security system features on the evo ecu's but from what I've read it seems like they are always an issue even for the evo guys, not sure what would happen if I would try it on a dsm? I know its been done, but just not sure how much bother it is.
Patch for 2g dsms. It's a little different. Thank you Acamus! You are a gentleman and a scholar.

what am i doing wrong??
I am running Windows 7 and my ROM file is 88590015

Windows 7 likes to lock all the files and make them read only. If you right-click on the file your trying to edit on its location on the hard-drive. You can click properties and then advanced at the bottom and you can change the permissions for the file.
thanks i change to administrator
Guys, I haven't read the entire thread, just installed the patch and reflashed the car. I'm kind of in a bind. Went to get an inspection and the readiness monitors weren't on. My fault. Do I need to drive the car for a number of miles or is it good to go right now? Thanks!! A two word answer is fine.
Edit: Reading the thread, the monitors should be "ready" immediately after installing the patch. Does this mean that I can go and get the sticker right now, given the above? A yes or no is fine.

Thanks for the reply. I've done that. Back to my question. Anyone, yes or no?
Edit: To be clear, I went to have my car inspected and the monitors were not ready, or something to that effect. I forget the exact wording. I've installed the patch and reflashed the car. I have no inspection sticker, so I'd much rather drive the 1/4 mile to the service station and get the sticker, instead of having to drive whatever is necessary to reset/ready (?) the monitors and take the chance of getting pulled over. As I've installed the patch, do I still need to drive a given distance?

I've followed up on the video multiple times and copy/pasted multiple times and I'm still not getting these "tables" or anything that relates to OBDII. I have the 94170008 ID and so I edited it. Copy/pasted the codes via notepad and saved them. Just to make sure it was saved, I opened the file again and it's there. Open up EcuFlash and open my original map from my car and it's still not there. What did I forget? I went over the video over and over and I didn't miss much of anything.
