a bit pricey, but when in a bind.. assuming that works with any serial-out wideband? i have the Innovative controller/gauge that i'm installing soon. sorry if off topic, i can take it to PMs. but i'm thinking other people will be looking for the same stuff while tuning/logging V7.
heres the evoscan webpage that has forum threads people made showing how to wire it straight into the ecu and then you can log it from the OBDII port...

also try to get the FTDI serial adapter, rather than the prolific one. FTDI is better supported by all the operating systems such as WinCE and Linux.

Hi All,
I have recently Upgraded my maps to Tephra V7. Loving all the features and just getting everything dialed in correctly. Only problem is that my Boost by Gear isnt working correctly, If I leave all the BWD values the same I get overboost in 4th and 5th gear. If i readjust the valued to stay at lower boost in 4th and 5th then my 3rd gear boost is also Effected.
Someone help?

sounds like your gear mapping isn't quite right.
you can log "gear" (see post #1 for evoscan xml) and make sure the ECU is picking up the right gear..
if its not, then you need to adjust the gear mapping table (in my tephramod category somewhere) - log the gear ratio average (again post #1) and go though each gear and map the right numbers in there..
do you have different sized tyres or something?

First and foremost thank you for your help!
I tried logging gear and it always displays a decimal... Like 2.3 or 3.7 on and on. Second I have left the gear/rpm to 2900. I did change the other chart that has values for each gear to te values found here on te forum for the 5 speed ix tranny. So of this is done right the boost by gear should work flawless everytime? Or just above 2900 rpm? And my tire size is 255/40/17. So close to stock.
Thanks for your help guys

Also what values am I suppose to input in the gear 0 and gear 6? I don't have my boost by load tables configured yet, they are all at 159.4 with boost adder at 80. Could that be causing a problem? Boost load/error is also at 0.0 because I was planning on setting boost first ad then logging values to enter into these tables
Also this might be a stupid question but is it ok to change label names? just so its easier to remember whats what in EcuFlash. Would this effect anything? evoscan logging or my actual tune?
Thanks
As for Ecuflash, rename any table name you like. The xml's are only there to help you read your ROM. Just bear in mind that everyone typically refers to everything by table name when posting on the forum.
Can i ask, what is RPM/SPEED TO GEAR? if im just interested i contolling boost as per factory can i just copy my tables into the BOOST ADDER LOAD, MAIN MAP WASTEGATE DUTY AND BOOST DESIRED ENGINE LOAD tables. I guess what im asking is what are the minimum maps that need to be copied over to utilise V7,as there looks to be a fair bit of new code that im not sure about. cheers
Request: (I think this is a good request to have as many people now have this transmission... including myself
Tephra... you should do some calculations for Shep's new MR 6 speed with the upgraded final drive so that people can have the correct values in the RPM/Speed to Gear table. Would be greatly appreciated and helpful.
I could not find any solid information as to how to attempt to calculate this myself with rpm/gear... if you could tell me the divider or whatnot to use, I'll gladly test this in my car and post the findings for future users.
