If I understand the rpm/speed table correctly, simply taking the rpm you're at at a given speed in a given gear and dividing it by that speed should give you the correct value to put into that table for the relevant gear.

Am almost finished dialing in V7, but having small prob. My idle is set to just under 1000, and it runs perfectly. But my warm up is a bit much.... like 1700rpms and only really need 1250-1300.What table do I change to fix this. Thanks.

Does anyone know any Tephra V7 Tuning Gurus close to NY? I need my car tuned. Properly. Not just a wide-open-throttle tune... but a proper tune for track days/road racing/daily. Willing to drive up to 200 miles from 10312 to go to someone that can get it done from morning to evening on a dyno/street. Preferably someone that has a lot of resources in case something needs to get swapped out for compatibility... etc...

Didn't know where to post this... felt this was the right spot. PM me if anyone either knows someone, or is someone of the above nature. Thanks in advance. Looking forward to giving a healthy donation to Tephra once this is done.

 

Maybe a region specific spot would be best, but you should also consider someone like Mellon who does "tune by e-mail". They can get you something pretty nice I'm sure, especially if you could get it close on the road, and then take it to a dyno, and have them make changes via e-mail for you while you're there....never done it though, so I'd just ask them and see.

Hello all, been a few, but have some good reports, some quick questions, and hoping we can get a couple mopre lines of code added the two universal v.7 maps

3 weeks ago I started tuning for a universal map that incorperated economy and range, as well as speed and time.

I cunrrently am running the 0715 verson of the rom, with alt map, gear based boost, etc.

I have 8 tanks on highway cruise with a range of 375 miles per tank... start adding...
I have 5 in town tanks with range of 300-320 miles with limited boost, 280 miles and so forth the more aggressive I drive, and I would say I do drive with purpose if you know what I meen. She puts down a stout 300/300 to the wheels while doing so too. On 91 pump from states that are embaresed to call their 91... 91. On 93 she puts down 330/330, with similiar range and eco.
All gears are tuned to redline 7250 excluding 5th which is tuned to 6k.

Main Map Boost: gear based so 1st: 20.6 psi, 2nd: 21.5, 3rd:21.5, 4th: 20.6, 5th: 19.5
Main Map AFR: Cruise 15.4, Spool 12.1~11.6, Through the fat she is a solid 11.2
Main Map Timing: 0~1 at full spool, 7~10 by redline

Alt Map Boost: 1st: 19.5, 2nd: 20.7, 3rd: 20.7, 4th: 19.1, 5th: 17.5 which is just .5 above wastegate pressure.
Alt Map AFR: Same result though they differ.1~.2 in most places
Alt Map Timing: +1~2 at full spool, 9~11 by redline (i think)

Tephra, by chance can you please give us a ALT Boost Adr.

The reason for my suggestion, is I need that to make a full sea level to 8k tune. I would set the main map boost addr at 12.3 for high elevation, and then alt map with a different boost addr, I can set for 14.7

Also, what the chance of getting a 2nd Alt Map catagory, so that theoretically you could have 3 maps loaded?

Is your idle at 15.4afr also? I have heard of people doing this but wasnt to sure how healthy it is for your motor. Can you post a picture of your fuel map?

I recently converted from my 0008 to 0715 ROM enabling me to run V7... at WOT the car runs great.. no knock from 2500-7500 at roughly 20psi... my issue is with partial throttle and casual driving... anything above 30% throttle making anywhere from 5-10 psi... i see my service light flash indicating several counts of knock... typically this occurs from 2500-3500 RPM...

The car is street tuned by myself with moderate changes to the timing and fuel maps.. everything else in v7 was left alone... any possible suggestions where to look to fix this issue would be greatly appreciated..
