i will be switching to tephra v7 for MAF ,

will i have control over idle and cruise AFRs ? i was unable to get it slightly richer at idle with my stock rom , no matter what i did ecu will adjust to 14.7.

 

Not any more than with a stock rom. You need to either run in open loop or wire in the wideband to simulate the narrowband output and use a rom patch to change the target.

 

Can you please write down the simplest possible way of going open loop at idle and cruising range?

 

Disable closed loop in the ECU periphery.

 

Hi, im helping a friend to get his car started from his newly downloaded 88580714 map.

Have follow the instruction shown above to copy and paste the previous map immobilizer and oxFFA bits but the car just wont start.

Do someone have any idea on this problem?

When reload the old map, the car start.

 

whats the original romid?

ok im not sure you can go from 88570008 to 88580014...

you can try disabling the immob entirely, if it still doesn't start then ...

I am using a 93660005 rom, i wanit to switch to tephra v7 . What are the important parameters which i need to copy and paste on to the tephra rom inorder to maintain my previous tune ?

The maf scaling ,injector scaling , injector battery voltage latency comp tables differ to mine .

 

Hi Tephra, yes the car can finally start up after disabling the immobilizer.

But now the problem is that the mivec Ign map on 88580014 seems haywire but the idle is smooth as butter.

So, we tried upload rom 88580015, the mivec ign map is understandable to us but it just cant idle. We tried messing around on the latency & timing but it just doesnt work. The car is using stock Evo 9 injectors and oem latency.

Tried copy and paste the 0014 latency to 0015 rom, the car managed to idle but its a little rich and the 0014 latency is very much higher than the 0015.

Pls do advise on how and where should we try to get 0015 rom idle.

Raptord, if you see this, I thought I read awhile ago, like years ago, that you had the definitions for the 8859 for:

1. Idle Error
2. Idle Error - A/C On
3. Idle Stability Timing Control

IDK if I misplaced it or what, but couldn't find it in my XML as of late. Could you or someone post up the XML? Thanks!!!

 

I'll check tonight if I have them but off the top of my head, I don't think I do.
