Ok Ive got two logs here.. Interestingly it seems that its running leaner with the reduced timing?

Also I have renamed all of my maps that one that I posted was just an example of "detuned" while some knock filters were being played with. It was a quick post and it must have slipped by me. My bad

fuel map posted below for reference.

well i haven't really made any changes yet. The two runs here seem to have basically no knock. There is a 1 count in each of them from those rough timing changes. But as far as fuel is concerned it seems lean to me. Towords the upper RPM im seeing 11.8? The whole run looks lean to me. should I richen the hit load cells about .2 or so?

logs look good. car is very happy. now richen the AFR up a bit and add more timing at the higher rpm, im sure you can get away with 15* np on pump.

is this all the boost you want to run? i would want atleast 27-28psi if i were you.

now is where map tracing comes into play. Load your log into evoscan and maptrace your external wideband and adjust the cells accordingly. if you plan on running higher boost the 2nd time u go out for another pull make the a/f a bit richer, that way when you crank the boost it will not lean out as bad.

shoot for 12.5 during spoolup and 11.0-11.5 wot, i would keep it low 11's tho to be safe.....

well id like to get my fuel map in check prior to messing with the timing. Or at least thats what you and Paul were saying so that was my track. Get my fuel line solid and what not then start on the timing map.

As far as boost is concerned I could stand to turn up the boost to 23psi or so maybe 24psi but im running a stock VIII turbo with the 9.8 hotside with 65k on it. I feel like 27psi is pushing the stock turbo pretty hard?

So as far as richening the fuel map up should I adjust the values just where I hit little by little or should I use the formula given in the tuning thread to calculate the proper value for the wanted AFR?

The formula to adjusting the fuel map is very simple. Let us look at the 5500 rpm row and load cell 220 in the log chart above. The Actual AFR (AAFR) is 11.13:1. The fuel map AFR (MAFR) shows a 9.7 number in the 5500 rpm and 220 load cell. Let us assume that we want a desired AFR (DAFR) of 11.4:1 in that load cell. What should the new map AFR (NMAFR) be?

NMAFR=DAFR X MAFR / AAFR

NMAFR=11.4 X 9.7 / 11.13 = 9.9353
With the maptracer whats the pull down menu called data values? Should i just leave it on averages or should it be maximums etc? Im not sure what its averaging? I thought it would just be plotting the logged data on the fuel or timing maps. No modification of the data...

27psi is ok..... some guys push it to 31psi, so i think 27psi should be alright. that formula stuff you posted is if you dont have an actual wideband and are using the estimated AFR from the evoscan..... ignore it.......

Go into Graph and Map tracer drop down menu > analyze csv load, fuel , timing

load your ROM once you get in there and then it will map trace the rom cells and adjust accordingly.

I will to look myself how much incriment changes a/f i will post back with findings so you now how much to alter the value. but i wouldnt go more then .3-.5 at a time per testing ..

btw read this ethan. the fuel trim part doesn't pertain to you tho, since you're on stock injectors. https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/ec...-tune-evo.html
