Well when I put the logs all the way up to 20 smoothing it does even out with out the drop off. This seems extreme to me, but whatever... It is smooth with out looking like it falls off a cliff. Once I find my most recent dyno sheet, I will post it and use a log as close to the date the runs were made as possible for comparison btwn the it and my old setup.

Thank you to Jay from boosted tuning for emailing back and forth with me.

Once I get my car back together I will try it out again and do all the recommended things and see if that helps any more. (Run it out longer, log less, use higher smoothing, only record WOT) I will also put my car on a dynojet the same day I make the logs, to see how they it look in comparision.

Im also looking into redoing the way Im trimming TPS values and the way the Time and RPM smoothing is done. I have an idea on how to prevent this but only time and coding will see if it works.

Cross your fingers ... got to find the time to do it though ...

might aswell... lol

ix rs, 272hks, tbe, pte1000cc, perrin intake and i think thats it.

Dynoed untuned @ 324 whp on STM's mustang dyno

This is me tuning, 10.2-5 AFR, 22 psi. Plan on leaning it out sooner or later(+timing)(roads permitting).

4th gear pull. followed by a 3rd gear pull

8* of timing @ 7000

All mustang dynos (Ive concluded) read differently. You may need to use a custom CF to get it to match their dyno. Once you figure out the CF you will be good to match their dyno from then on.

Does anyone have the older version still. This drop off is very annoying to me. At first I thought that I was suddenly down on power but I think it is simply the new "averaging" that the program does. I did not get it on the old version with the same file logs as the new. I also do not get it on Dynovision or Virtual Dyno Simulator as well.

Has anyone else noticed this? I know that the afr looks different at 3600-4600 but I think that it is due to the averaging again. These pics are of the same datalogs. I know that others must have noticed the same thing.

Normal old version

New version with the fall off

This is the Dynovision from the same runs

Here is the VDR 5.1

Here is my most recent dynojet dynograph with the same mods except for a Spoolin Up COP for comparsion. I installed the COP after having troubles on the dyno that day. The operator did not record my first two runs and the third had horrible miss fires. You can see the miss fires in the massive dip at where my peak torque would have been. There is no power drop at 6600-6800 rpm.

Here is another dynograph. This one is with the stock intercooler (I have a 3.5" ETS now) and my old tune so I made less power, but the power drop still does not happen at 6600-6800rpm.

I need to look at this ... time is very thin right now so please be patient. Clinicals and unorganized faculty are killing me right now. I can see graduation though and thats when Ill have a lot of time to spare. Just bear with this crappy time schedule I have right now and I promise Ill get to it. I have an idea if I get a few hours to sit and stare at it.

Brad take your time. I am in no hurry. The software still does an excellent job. I love how you can save profiles and view multiple runs at the same time. Obviously work/school/family is the most important. I just wanted to put it up since I said I would. Thank you again for all of your time and work.

Hey man I appreciate you reporting this bug and giving such detailed data. It really helps.

I have narrowed the code thats causing it down to the code that I put in to smooth RPM and TIME to get rid of erroneous spikes due to ECU delays in returning data even though the timestamp has been written. This is an issue that the loggers need to address but they dont care I dont guess. An average of the start and end time of a row needs to be used instead of just the start time for requesting data on that row.

Im trying to circumvent this error but its being a pain.

Now that its warming up I have been able to do some full pulls finally and I also have the dip at the 6800 area. I think it still counts after you let off which is causing the dip. If you stopped the log before letting off I believe it would be ok. It would be unsafe to have 1 finger on the laptop while doing a pull. I do my pull then come down to a safe speed and then stop the log. I figured out that you can delete the end of the pull in the log data and it gets rid of the dip but then the end is chopped off. I also did another pull and pushed the clutch in at the end of my pull quicker then letting of the gas which made my rpms shoot up to almost 8k rpm. This may happen no matter which virtual dyno you use but it shot my whp way up at the end
