I do have a question tho, what does your program look for in the csv file to open in VD? I have a honda and datalog with a program called ecucontrol. It datalogs a file very close to that of evoscan with the RPM, TPS, and TIME as the top columns and then the data going down. I tried loading a log into VD but it keeps saying no wot data. I tried moving the TPS column to the same column as a evoscan datalog but it still won't read. I can send you the datalog to look at if you like, If I can use VD on my honda that would be awesome. Thanks
Sure let me know how to get one of the logs and I can look at supporting it. Most of the honda guys use Hondata.

I worked a little magic on it. I ripped out the parts that needed admin rights. It should be a lot better.

Now if I can get the correction factor adjusted after the fix from fixing smoothing has caused the graphs to read a bit high from what is being reported. Anyone else seeing that its reading high compared to their dyno plot? I need some proof of this being high. Anyone got any (1.1.8 only)?

Yeah, I gained another 7hp on top of the 4hp I gained from 1.1.7.

I haven't done any recent logs with 1.1.8 or 1.1.7 for that matter. Just uploaded some older logs into VD. It's only the later versions that the hp goes up, the older versions only gain maybe 1-2hp.

well 1.1.8 has the correct smoothing I just have to reevaluate the correction factors. I need dynojet plots and logs of the same car NOT on the dyno to compare.

Ok, update.. went out today and took some logs. They are working in the VD software. I have a question about the smoothing. What level should the graphs be read at for the most accuracy ? for example, on 0 smoothing.. it's 340HP on 1 it's like 305HP.. So how does the smoothing work? And for the best accuracy, should I just average like 3 of the similar numbered logs ? I had one spike up to 430HP on 0 smoothing but then smoothed on 1 it was more realistic..lol

use the lowest amount of smoothing the gives you a reasonably smooth curve. Usually that ends up being around 2-3 for me.

this is ok advice.. but let me ask you this.. what happens to your power when you go from 2-3 to 8-10? if you drop 40-50hp then its not accurate at that smoothing.

when you know you got a good accurate power reading.. there shouldn't be anymore then 10-15hp difference from smoothing 1 to smoothing 10.

... and dont pay any attention to smoothing 0 ... thats just there to see if there are any massive spikes causing a hump in higher smoothings.

I cant this to work Ive never used it before so im pretty sure its my fault here....please work with me tho.

I open a log file and basiclly nothing happens....after it thinks for a moment a box appears in the blue area with no car info in it (nor is there any info in the drop down box) and no dyno graph.

when i open the same file in EVOscan, it does display a power curve.

have you set up a profile yet? It has to have the profile filled out and saved, then loaded each new use. And remember be honest about the weight in the car, too much or too little will change the numbers.

when i go to "add profile" another info box opens but i'm once again stuck with a drop down menu that has no information / choices in it.

do i need a active internet connection for this?
