^ JoT, I might have led myself astray there, as I wanted to ensure it cranked at 5* I left the first cell at 5*.

Also, as mrfred and jcsbanks and bez have not posted anything on this from their disassembly work, I figured the first cell was the ticket.

But, as you say, it could just be a single parameter, or a table v temp.
One of those "nice to know" parameters.

Old thread but I thought I would add that JOT is right about the 5 degrees when cranking.

Some good info here thanks I've had the same problem since upgrading to 96530706 v7. Interestingly my AC idle was perfect when running 90550001 on v5 with the same idle/iscv settings. It never stalled!

I got a big improvement today simply by upping the 'desired ISCV with A/C on' from about 10 to 90. This stopped most of the stalling with A/C on, but it's still doing it occasionally.

Next I'll try the 'trick' posted earlier with the increased timing around idle and see how that goes. I'm running HKS 272's so hopefully these settings are OK.

There have been many threads around about this issue and it seemed as if you need to do both software and hardware changes...but now it looks like software is good enough (mivec and idle timing changes)
Gonna give this a shot.

I tried adjusting the timing map around idle as per my post above and it seemed to improve things further, but it's still stalling every now and then with the AC on when coasting to a stop

Depends on what is causing your idle trouble; if the issue itself is tuning-related, then yes it can be fixed just with tuning, however if it's mechanically-related, then software changes may only be able to alleviate the symptoms without curing the problem itself. This appears to be the case with my car.

^yea that makes sense, I guess it's just a process of elimination...gonna try the software changes first.

1150rpm at the moment, but it's not quite managing that when the AC is on. More like 1000. ISCV initial step with AC on is set at 100. Maybe I just need to bump that up more until it's idling at the set value.

Stalls when stopped

Evo 8: starts fine, idles at 1000rpm. 1st gear engages fine then upon depressing the clutch and stopping the car stalls. Has nothing to do w AC which is not on. Other posts seem to have this problem only AC.

Issue came out of the blue. We haven't done anything that knowingly would have caused the problem

It's on the bottom of the throttle body, directly below where the upper IC pipe connects to the throttle body. It is black and there are 3 screws in a triangle formation holding it in place. I don't have a picture handy otherwise I've show you.
