Resurrecting this post to see if I can get some help! Took Evans performance Evo X tuning course and have been starting to tune my fully built Evo X. Was looking for some input for tuning the timing maps and wanted to see what you guys think of my current map setup for starting to do my first WOT pulls. Fully built bottom end, 6262 stock frame comp turbo, GSC S2 Cams+springs, open dump downpipe, ID1000's, 3.5 intercooler FBO Etc. 94 octane.
please be easy on me I'm very new and this is my first attempt at tuning! Idle, acceleration and drivability is dialed in. Just having some issues with tuning out knock/fueling at WOT.
I think you have very low values for 94 octane. Starting from medium loads, at loads up to 100%. I have a simple 4b11 not turbo (Outlander XL) engine and 91 octane, look at my timing for max/medium loads. These are very good angles for me, see the log. AFR is of course important.

Thanks for the reply! I did pull about 5 degrees to start my WOT tuning as stated in the course that I should do then add timing from there. I didn't want to risk having too much but now I'm worried I'm starting with too little for my setup. If there's any gurus that see this that could pitch in what a good safe amount of timing would be to start at for WOT tuning that would be super helpful. I know running too little timing in areas can also cause knock and issues.
