It must be a beast on the street, that's for sure. On a 2.0 hitting full boost 2-300 rpms sooner and shifting at 8500+, damn! It could be the edge that people that have an extensive black build need to be more dangerous and not having to go out of stock app. $wise, whats another 1.5k with all the $ that goes into a black build.

I'd like to see results on guys that have maxed out the jb black, and want that little extra.

Thanks OP for keeping us updated!

Right, that is definitely one reason why the stock frame turbos do so well is they hit HARD and fast. Great results btw, definitely didn't want to sound like I was knocking the setup, because its clearly beast mode.

I'll go over your data. Email the logs to eurness@gmail.com

Be sure and label the runs accordingly if possible. it'll make things easier than sifting through and organizing the data.

Thanks!

If Tom really wants to take the time to put this to rest he has a jb Black also to mirror his tests on (granted it's alot of work to do but he has that option).

Keep in mind part of the reason he did this was because he killed a Black in no time with his driving style and how much he beats on it (from what I recall). How many rebuilds to equal a converted Black? Just two. Granted most won't go out and beat on their car like he does...I know I do though so it's definitely worth it to some.

i got my gas bill today it was $160~ in E85 in 4 days LOL! that was 90% WOT..

i just had it out today at 34-35psi it spun 2nd from a 40 roll to 70mph or whatever 2nd tops out to on slick road.. the car really moves when its nice and cool outside. that's with 255/ 18' potenza RE11 tires.

i think the clutch is starting to drag or something tho.. it definitely feels like its slightly slipping in 4th gear. guess its time for a triple.. hopefully the twin doesnt explode and i can use it for a few more hundred miles. http://tinyurl.com/3jhlx8h

ya it has like 10,000 miles on it now.. its still going. i just had the car out 30min ago and its still pulling hard.. so the clutch must be ok.. it seems in warmer weather once i do a certain amount of pulls the car starts to feel alittle weaker.. i dont know if its cause the radiator fan kicks on and blows 300F+ heat into my air filter or what.. im going to change the setup of the intake soon tho for speed density.

I disagree you could easily get a 3582hta to spool as quick as that and make more power with more importantly alot more reliabilty.
Have you done any 93 pump gas graphs?

i think you should call forced performance and tell them what you just said here so they can tell you otherwise. even with a .63 ar on that 3582hta you wont get this power under the curve. show me a 3582hta on a 2.3 with 450-470tq before 4k in 3rd gear. there are a few comparisons on the hta3582 vs the fp black on this forum, it loses by a good 100wtq + downlow easily.. and gains about 80whp uptop or so.

you sacrifice low end for top end.. it all depends what you're after.. i prfer low end, because in my opinion the cars more enjoyable with all that additional punch downlow.

my evo came with a greddy T67 it was very laggy, but pulled hard uptop also.. so i have felt a laggy turbo.. and while it wasnt all that bad, the fp black is much more funner to me.
