ok thanks for the info guys I currently have an ETS HTA 86 single scroll kit I think I have a .82 ar All I know is I hit full boost around 5000-5300rpm in 3rd gear with my kit and maybe I got a good deal from Mike at ets but I paid less then $4000 with everything including intake. Ive messed around with some FPRED turbos and they spool insanely well but from what Ive heard I didnt think a FPblack spooled much better then a 3586. And if it does I can see why people would buy the turbo so thanks for clearing things up. And keep up the sick work

thats the best all around turbo from what i can see.. its not extremely laggy and it packs extreme power potential. an hta86 with a tial vband is what i would go with if i ever did non stock frame on a 35r variant.
thanks. hopefully the new wastegate preload and clutch will let me extract some more power.

Just started reading this thread. there is so much great feedback from the evo community. I've been dreaming of fp bb turbos in th us, can't wait to get one. I've been running the carbonetics blade since january 2011, for about 10k mi. I agree with Curt, it drives like butter and launches like crazy. I'm happy to see the blade working well with stage 3/4 plates. I remember Kiyo saying mine is a stage 2 but it could work with higher clamping force, but in january he wasn't inclined to say how much hp it could take.sorry for the off topic but this thread hits home in so many ways.
I drive my car in rain, sun, sleet and snow (with great tires the evo has amazing grip in the snow)

yes heres some pics of whats going on with my car. I upgraded to a Exedy triple cerametallic and STM fork stop and got the Hoosier and the rx7 wheels.
Also preloaded the turbo more.. it was really weakly preloaded. I am pretty confident it will hit its 660 again like last year. if not no big deal.
