Best bet is to call MAP and ask about it and if your EF4 is the most current as they have tweaked them since the beta program...

I know that I have the most current minus the Turbo Smart internal waste gate.

My EF3 arrived the other day

ported comp housing

ported exhaust housing

turbosmart billet actuator

Turbo is of great quality. I do however find that the springs to change in the actuator a real pain in the ***... there is so much effort needed, if anyone has a step by step DIY to make things easier please feel free to post it thanks!

need to throw my update in here. I just finished break in and starting getting into boost a little. I'm not really tuned yet, working on it slowly. But holy crap, My EF4 spools fast! Granted I'm on a built Map 2.3 liter, .040 overbore, 10:1 compression, but really surprised me how quick it would spool up. I'm looking forward to having TSCompUSA do my tune.

I just put down 447.9/500.7 (corrected) with 418./ 467.8 (corrected) torque on 31.2 pounds with my MAP built 2.0LR and EF3 (Mustang dyno)I placed 1st in the UMS Tuning time attack series setting a class record as well as placing 2nd in NASA TTU at INDE motorsports ranch in AZ this past weekend.

Thumbs to MA Performance and ES Tuning

This is great work and awesome results Mustang results. I might contact Evan for a nice pump/91 tune for my EF4.

According to Turbosmart, the actuator is supposed to "enhance" boost control and sensitivity. I am going to order one and try it on my EF4....

Not trying to knock this turbo at all because it was what i was considering for my car. But dont these numbers seem somewhat low for 31psi on an EF3 consider stock IX turbos on e85 at 30 psi make around 410whp on e85?

I believe these numbers were on a mustang dyno (approx 12% lower than dynojet)
