I sent you my pump gas map.... I run higher timing lower boost as it's kind of a limp mode map. I too am seeing about 350 WHP spiking to 26psi then letting if drop down to 22psi.

My conservative E85 tune is just a hair over 400WHP on the EF2 but that hasn't been dyno tuned and I'm still on the stock EVO9 cams. I may dyno tune this coming spring just to see what it is capable of.

I planning to run mine at the MAP BIR Proving Grounds. I'm not really a drag racer but it would be nice to see where it lands on a full kill tune. My best dyno on the stock turbo was 350whp and that netted me an 11.9@116 and now I have an additional 80whp across a much wider portion of the powerband so I'm expecting good things.

If there are any takers... I'd like to send you my EVOSCAN logs to compare via virtual dyno. It would be neat to see where expected gains could be had maybe even compare timing in those areas.

Did you PM it? I don't see it.

It was way back in August when you compared your pump to my E85 map.

I should probably add some boom sticks to my mod list but I'm lazy.

Aah yea I still have that PM. Matter of fact, I have it marked as unread so I remembered to send you some final numbers when I get the turbo dialed in. I'm still finishing a break-in on a new headgasket, so within a month or so I should have had a change to re-tune the EF2 properly.

I don't enjoy driving stock turbo cars. When you're just driving normal and taking off from a light to get up to speed, my boost gauge shows 10-15 psi already. If I decide to mash the gas and go WOT it's not that much if a kick in the *** because the car was already at 15psi... I want something that takes effort to go WOT, I'm not talking a car with a huge turbo and a 1k rpm powerband, but I want something that you have to try to spool up

That's just cause you have a lead foot

We certainly don't have a same definition of "driving normal".

Then you need a larger stock frame turbo. Only time I see 15lbs of boost off a light is if I get on it pretty hard.

I will have EF2/E85 results soon, just installed mine on Saturday. Thinking of droping in some cams before my tune

I think you guys are missing the point of my posts. I'm trying to justify getting an ef4 over an ef3... I don't want a smaller turbo. I want to know if the ef4 will truly be a slug on a stock block car or if it will be a fun car. The price difference is $40 so that's not an issue, the issue is will the ef4 be too big to fully be utilized on a stock block 450-500hp car???

The EF4 is too large to fully utilize on the stock block. You can try it, but have a budget set aside for a full engine build if you push it at all. The price difference between the EF3 & 4 is actually $215.

I would go with the EF3 on a 2 liter and EF4 on 2.3+ liter.

I was hitting 25psi around 4200RPM on a 2.3 liter with the EF4 in 3rd gear. On a 2 liter, probably 4-500RPM later.

EF4 upgrade $1479.99

EF3 upgrade with antisurge housing $1444.99

Difference = $35.00

Where I'm getting confused with replies are I see plenty of people running large PTE turbos; 6262, 6266, 6466 etc. on stock block with great results. Are you saying the EF4 is larger than a 6266?

I always compared the EF4 to an FP Black and there are plenty of stock block FP Black's with 500+whp
