No need to lecture me on the kiss princeple. Also I used to be a suby owner too .. dubstar112 and here is my dark side.

Hybrid gives you more control, over peak boost, and spool up. If you want to delay spool you can do that easily as well as fine tune peak boost on the fly.. speaking of complicated, we do appreciate the ecu now don't we ? Or do you prefer draw thru, or blow thru carbs ?

Either way our debate and opinions matter nil to tscompusa and he should be exploring all he wants. I just linked a related thread..

What if there were a bcs that had an integrated ball and spring port as fail safe?

lol and ecu's that detune themselves. and engines from the factory that fall apart with no modifications. they released a rom for 08 subaru's that blew half them up in that year.

------ 211satsbud i just installed the lighter stiff hallman spring back instead. if i get bored maybe ill test the 3 port with mbc, but between the wga and mbc i think i can get the same results power wise.

Aaron actually posted some great details regarding how much you can potentially gain from going SD from MAF. Someone who knows him get him to chime in. What he said (I can't find the thread) was way more than 10-20hp on a set-up like yours Tom.

it did 550hp+ last year on 93. i dont run 93 ever in this car anymore. i think it maxed out at 570. that was at like 35psi on 93. i had 93 in it for alittle bit since i drove it for 600 miles. the car still felt very responsive with 93 though.. it surprised me. last year the turbine housing was ported though, not this year. thats about 1lb/min lost so i guess 20hp less now. i should port the turbine if i want every last drop of power out of the setup i guess.

its definitely fun.. it hits really hard down low. there are no flat spots on my car at all, the minute you hit the gas it pulls you into the seat. it feels quicker then most cars due to the early torque, but lacks top end when it comes to the larger non stock frame turbos.

yes you can turn your hallman into a cockpit style one.. its very simple.

=============

about the SD. ill do that after i switch to the tial bov which i plan to do eventually soon. im sure the forge rs leaks a little bit in actual boost conditions. i cant get it to leak during a leak test though.

do you have the same or similar supporting mods to me? if so you will make over 600 easily.

ill have to give you ride some time. its a really fun setup.

i shipped the turbine housing out to fp to get ported so after i get that back i will show results. i think ill get another 15hp from that when im running in the 65lb/min range.

just wondering, is 30psi within the efficiency range of a standard journal bearing fp black?
