yes 30psi is where the black shines actually. 30psi the turbo is very happy. it'll make nice power with around 27psi as well though. ive got a few customers in the 27-30psi range in the 480hp range on 93oct on stock block.

i will definitely go that route no doubt.. the only problem is if i want a direct comparison with and without ill have to stay on the forge RS bov. i plan on switching to a tial BOV and different upper pipe and possibly a AMS F1i.. that i have to decide because if i wanna run that intake manifold its gonna require a custom bend in the upper piping.

I believe on a 2.3 though there's significant gain top end on that long runner manifold. id run the magnus but it seems like its just to much crap to make it fit right.

Looks nice Tom, I hope she gives that extra 1lb/min you're chasing. It's great that you have had it ported after you've had it tuned, it will provide a great example on what porting can do for you.

thats awesome! how much boost can manually adjust in your car without having to re-tune the ecu?

I think as long as you're tuned for the max boost you're adjusting to, you can lower it as much as you want.

That way you can tune for 46 psi and lower to 36 when you want and then go back to 46

The Intake manifold change isnt that bad. Getting the pipe to fit is a hassel though going from the stock style but i gained 60+whp switching to SD and going to a big plenum manifold at the same boost on my car.

60hp+ is very promising.. but id like to see it compared against the map rev 3 since its ported to the extreme. from what ive read though long runners and a stroker = cant be beat.

---------

I just did a pull tonight while monitoring water pressure.. water pressure seems to be all good now.

things ive done......

switched out a beta mbc spring for the normal stiff one
had turbine housing ported
installed waterpressure gauge cause i was pressurizing the coolant system (which seems to be resolved at the moment).

its 60F outside here and the car made more power then its ever have at only 34psi taper to 28psi.. so the porting worked.

heres the graph & boost plot log:

started pull about 3300rpm. response is nice, if i start it at 2500 it will be 34 by 3800 easy.

no that guys dumber then a rock. jk .........

thanks for all the help on the AN fittings and advise for everything.. you made it easy for me to get proper AN and SS line running to my gauge without rigging it. leak free, least amount of fittings, and clean route to glove box.

never thought id say this.. but if it continues to run as strong as it is right now at just 34psi im not touching the boost.. its definitely going to run a low 10 as is if it lets me shift it without breaking.

whats insane is what im about to share..

before at 40psi and now at 34psi.. there is no way porting makes this much difference i dont think? i did retorque the headstuds another 5-10tq which lowered the leak down results all below 4%.. maybe thats why.. but heres the graph:

the 2 higher 40psi runs are before port, the low line is after.
