here are the slips:

the last slip they had to write manually in the tower because something screwed up. i also got yelled at for going to fast as well after that run

im number 525.

ill get some footage of the go pro later on i have to do a lot of stuff because the go pro recorded in mp4 format.

i was gonna run again but i checked the oil and it was down at the first notch so i didn't wanna risk it..

if this isn't a testament to how well David builds engines i don't know what it is.. to pass on 255/35/18's at over 130mph i was reving this 2.3 out past 8500+

god knows what RPM that was .. look at all those 7968's LOL.

I believe the last pass i did was around 32 psi uptop.. theres lots more in the car

Tom looks like you have a seriously noisey motor, you are hitting 4v on the knock sensor...

Yeah he did hit a few times but in general I am with you seems pretty noisy Volt wise. Tom you know me I'm not insinuating anything about the tuning nothing wrong there. Were just stating your motor seem noisier than the norm.

Hell you took a ride in mine and felt my motor at 10k. I may have some logs still I'll send you to see the volts. Granted it's a standalone but volts are volts it's reading same sensor

most likely the kelford cams.. pretty nasty on the valvetrain. either that or the exedy triple.. that things a noisey *****.. the actual shortblock is not noisey at all though. knock filter is minimal on my personal evo.. valvetrain alittle noisey but nothing i can be bothered over.. cars relatively quiet imo compared to other evos.

dude the track sucked ***. i set the 2 step to 5200 on the last run where i got a 1.7 60ft and i still spun the crap out of 1st and when it slamming the limiter 100 times a second how do you judge when to shift to 2nd? thats the part i cant get right.

the muscle car guys were telling me i had a 10 sec car if i got the 1/8 portion of the track corrected. they said look at your 1/8 mph and and your 1/4 and subtract.. you're picking up that much mph in the 2nd half.. your car is moving.

then he showed me something else i forget now .. but he was dividing something by 1320 to find what i should of et'ed at based on trap.

it was awesome talking to guys that have 8.2 @ 180mph + muscle cars giving me tips and just chatting.. they loved my car and the fact it was on e85 and 100% interior and full weight and stealth looking. they said they refused to run with the track in its current condition.. to dangerous.

see that slip with the 9.8 @ 148 car beside me? i watched him spin the entire track.. it stunk so bad i thought my car was on fire. that was one hell of a z06.

the 1-2 comes up so quick doesn't it? LOL.

well i mean im still stock turbo and i shift at 7k 1-2, best 330ft is a 4.68 and i trap 96 in the 1/8th and 120-120.5 in the 1/4. i'd say probably 7500, best bet would be to ask like curt brown because had an fp black with the 2.3. if you had that 1-2 shift you'd cut so much on the ET and pick up a bit of mph.

car made 400 on VD the night night before i went 11.3 @120 BTW

What happened to the 650whp you achieved with the journal bearing?
What sort of weight is the car?

nothing happened to it lol. its still there! I just didn't show a new graph on the vd in high boost since the port job. Its prob 660 now in full tilt. (around 34-35psi uptop)

Its a full weight evo 8 minus the spare tire and has an evo 9 front bumper and jdm heads/tails, etc.. its probably very heavy.

I just use the weight in the virtual dyno for a regular evo 8 to get an idea what its making.

ya that's probably really close based on my prior experiences on a real dyno.

here's the run at the track.. please read the notes in the video. i only got the first 2 passes on video and both were at 28psi. my dumbass left the go pro HD turned on and forgot to turn it off.. so i burned off my 3gb SD card real fast.

I was trying to time the 1-2 shift but after i shifted to early the 2nd pass it scared me, cause i felt the engine rock back and forth from the lost momentum

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uUD6sh6QYw4

either way the track was pretty bad, i was chirping into 4th gear. lol

Great job Tom! I know that you have only made a few passes down the drag strip in your life and your obviously getting better with practice. 600+ HP on street tires is a handful!

I would have thought the car would be trapping closer to 140mph if VD is reading ~660whp; maybe the car is heavier than you think or slow shifts are holding you back. Looking at the 1/8mph it looks like you can gain a lot on the 1-2 shift. Stick with it and the car will definitely drop ET and gain MPH

no, i was only running 32psi at the track. it takes about 34-35 to hit over 650 in vd (with a huge spike in boost downlow with mbc (38-42psi) / but with a 3 port i could imitate the track on the street (solid 34-35 across).

only so much you can do on street tires and stroker.. 140mph even if it was possible would of blew my engine from reving to 9k~

the car at 32psi im guessing is around 630 in vd ? i dont know honestly. it has lots more in it though for sure.. every time i turned mbc a full turn i gained 2mph, and as i gained mph i had to raise limiter.. its definitely going to be a blast with the hoosiers, i cant wait for that.. im sure the track will kick me out though.

yes the 1/8 sucks, looks like the 330ft was screwing me up. that's something the guys at the track brought to my attention.. they were like wow your car is picking up 36mph on the back half.

thanks for the kind words man.. i know you know your stuff.. your car makes crazy traps and et's.

EDIT:

Creamo3 i just did a pull just now to see where it was at .. its 59% humid here and 38f so it is great for power.
