I'm very happy to report that all compressions are 135-138 psi with 6 cranks each. The first pulse jumped the most and after 6th it stabilized on #1, so I cranked 6 for rest. I think this is normal for evo 9 with S2 cams.
Fontana was nice today. I started playing with my tune to figure out why my launches turn to crap once engine gets hot. Even with new tune with very conservative timing, my 3rd to 5th runs still crapped out. Finally, I looked into my 2 step setting and changed that -7 timing down to -4 and tested to see what boost that makes. I was surprised to see 14-18 psi with -4° setting. I decided to use -3, which got me 12-14 psi boost at the launch. And voila! No more bogs!! Ran 2 more times and my problem for so long turns out to be the 2 step launch setting. Thanks to all that came out, it was fun.

My issue with high negative timing for launch control is that the ECU will pull timing when you leave due to knock and bog down.
You can mitigate it like you did by using the least timing that works without knock, or as I have found, easing into the launch control will also keep knock sensors happy.
Thanks Sean. This top video is the first launch after fixing the 2 step. Hard to believe it was the tune and how many things I've changed out trying to figure out the cause of crap launches.
Reducing my timing from 22-24° to 16° up top, I'm not making the 480 hp that I did on RRE dynapack with old tune. I'm also running 11.5-11.8 AFR up top now vs 12.7 prior (with clean injectors too). FP HTA71 is really a 460hp turbo on a dynapack. And that's about 420whp on DJ. With old tune, I was ae to hit 118 mph.

No problem. Glad I caught a small portion on camera! Was a good launch. The lines you left said it all.

My best was sadly a 12.7 @ 109. I was having launching issues landing me with a 2.1 60ft. Hoping to hit below a 12.5 next time.
