You guys are crazy. If you are drag racing, I'd just pull the stock bars off for free and be done with it.

I picked up the Ralliart aluminum front bar for $150 and thought that was almost too much for the cost/benefit ratio. I think it's 3 pounds.

I definitely did NOT pay $750 for strut tower bars, hell noooo...I think I paid around $500 shipped for both & that was pushing it for me...

$250 shipped for the front one, I'll be in the market for the rear once I sell these cams, wheels, and BOV.

Eclipse brakes suck

Source a smaller aftermarket caliper (Wilwood) or keep your Brembo's

Not worried about weight or braking ability as much as i am fitting a 15" wheel. Im surr the eclipse brakes do shave some weight from the smaller rotor and with a good set of pads and drilled rotors braking ability should be good enough. This is a drag car for me (i drive it less than 1,000 mi/yr)but i have a tight budget... would they still be a poor decision?

There are a few people who have shelled out the huge money for them, but they've all seem to have forgone the other weight reduction avenues to actually reap the benefits of the large weight loss from the block... nor do they have quick times to show for it.

If your car weighs 2200lbs and you're looking to shave off some more weight, then a chunk of weight, then billet may be your next choice. If your car weighs 2800lbs still, why?

For someone who has money, not me haha, and wants to reduce weight without compromising other things like full interior, I see the appeal.
