just received the radio relocation kit. i might try starting up the project this weekend. i still need to purchase my pioneer f series though anyone know where i can get a good deal on a new one?

ok i just removed just about everything, im having a hard time moving the HVAC control i disconnected the two connected but still those two thin wires are holding onto the hvac unit. should i remove those as well? and just place everything back on ? or just keep messing with it until it ill fit from the top to the bottom?

 

You have to remove that also but be careful because you need to use that locking pin again thats attach on the cable. After that cut the metal bracket by removing the four screws 2 bolt and 2 screw.

i finally was able to relocate the HVAC today! started about 9:30am and finished about almost 3pm. it was a head ache. luckily we have a saw zaw , definetly needed a dremel needed to do alota trimming and cutting on the HVAC piece. i will say it did come out some what crude looking but its doable for the time being. kinglasserres thanks for the idea man. ill go head and post pics when im complete with everything today

 

Would it look less butch if someone were to hand sand it? (Or is that a really dumb idea because it will take to long?) Lol, I want to do this but I want it to come out next to perfect.

I spent a lot of time making tha HVAC panel fit as perfect as I could get it. It turned out pretty good - will post pics when my 2din bezel arrives.
Next thing I've been looking into is the conversion to JDM/UK HVAC controls. Still not sure what motors, etc. will be needed in addition to the control panel. Anyon e know of anyone that's done that conversion?

 

if sombody can find a ukdm service manual we will be able to find out which parts are needed but i cant find one anywhere

 

i completed the install, i must say it took from 9:00am til almost 7pm with all the cutting of the hvac and installing the avic F900bt. i must say im very happy with the head unit. as for the hvac control its functional true its not beautiful but i can deal with it like that for a while. a dremel came in handy when i need to cut and trim around the hvac, the saw zaw also helped out when having to cut that small piece in the dash. heres some pics enjoy guys

 

dude, i don't know how much time you spent on the HVAC, but that looks f*ckin terrible.

Was it actually difficult or did you just get lazy?

 

you obvisously didnt read my post...... from 9:00am to almost 7pm yes i did take my time. that piece was very hard to cut and so fourth with the limited amount of tools i had and so fourth. like i said this is just temporary until i can find an orbital lower hvac. if you dont like the way mine or anyone elses came out then i would advise dont attempt because your will end up coming out the same as well.
