question... is our f90bt too small or why is there a gap there between the navi and the jdm piece..

also, for the lower hvac thingy, did u get the rubber spacer as well? there were so many different kind in home depot, do you some what remember which one u got ?

the unit is smaller i believe then previous units, i also had to drill extra holes to mount it centered. as for spacers i didnt use any.

has anyone tried painting the climate surround black? This might make it look less like it was cut out of the upper bezel. You also might not notice the flat edge on the round pieces.

D'oh! I just got my JDM trim piece today and noticed the same gap. I actually just came to check this thread about it and it figures the first post I hadn't seen yet is about exactly that.
Guess I'm gonna have to do some re-drilling as well. At least it will look better than the hige hole I have right now (no trim piece).

For those of your with the Pioneer AVIC F-series... have you checked out AVIC411.com? There are numerous hacks available for these units.
I'm planning to create Mitsu or Evo themed graphic to customize the display.

do let me know when you do id be very interested in that myself, also if you have the black JDM trim piece the small gaps around the unit are barely noticeable. which color did ya get ?

Im gonna give this a try today. Ill post pics when I finish. I would still have to wait for the double-din trim piece from japan but I need my nav system in the car already. Came out of my old subie. Tired of listening to the radio to.

you can CUT the hvac clean!! not putting you down or anything but I only had a dremmel.
