Yeah that is what I thought but you get $300 for the core. I guess the $800 deal is for 05 Evos with teh 10.5 hotside.

Dave,

So possibly stock IC, stock injectors and a flashed ECU close to 400aWHP? If so, that would be the ultimate stealth mod...

Do we need an upgraded IC or cams to see these benefits? Obviously it would yeild more power with an upgraded IC and cams... To clarify, I am speaking in terms of adding the 20g to the typical mod list of full turbo back 3" exhuast, Boost control, fuel pump, intake, IC plumbing, etc... Just curious what you think is possible with stock IC and cams.

Thanks,

Chris

I doubt you would get 400WHP without bigger injectors. Mine are damn near maxed now on my Stock Turbo. The 20G hits another 150CFM's. I suggest oversized injectors, like 720's and a BIG FMIC. The Stock FMIC holds 600CFM's but then you have the 20G pumping out 700 not to mention the Pressure drop.

Get BIGGER injectors, Bigger FMIC, it'll run good then

I am not being rude but all the questions asked are in the previous pages.

I recommend our complete Stage 4 before upgrading to any turbo.

I don't sell or use FP turbos, no way for me to compare.

The pricing is broken down earlier in these pages atleast once. Here they are again:

Send in your turbo off your car, to upgrade to the 20g wheel-$840
Do not send in any core-$1260
Do not send in any core and get the 10.5 housing and ti/al turbine wheel and 20g compressor wheel-$1540

These prices could change, if they do I don't think they will go down. It is going to depend on what the compressor wheels end up costing us.

There seems to be alot of people interested in this turbo. David, have you thought about doing a group buy for everyone who wants to get in on this? I know I would be willing to participate in a Group Buy

Right, if and when we get this wheel exactly reproduced it is going to work and work very well. That is what is taking the time, getting an exact reproduction of it. The cost is just getting rediculous on having it made too, I can't believe how much time it is taking to have just one piece CNC'd.

I am thinking about putting in our own CNC machine at this point, we want to add some type of major equipment here this year, that might be what it is.

As for a group buy, from the looks of things just getting wheels is going to be hard enough, if and when we get enough of them I might entertain the thought. I am guessing though it will be a long time before we ever have enough to even keep up with what the demand seems to be.

David,

So will you be taking deposits as soon as you see it will be a viable option?

The response from this is just huge, that is all I am saying. I don't want to offer a group buy for something that I might not be able to keep up with.

NOW for some decent news. Just got off the phone with the "owner" of the machine shop where this wheel is right now. They are sure that the changes that needed to be made to the prototype can be done and are working on it right now. Also thinking by the end of the week I will have another good part in my hand.

Also told them that as soon as we get one that works and goes into my car I wanted 50 more. They tell me no problem. They want to get one done so we can test it first and make sure all is O.K. with it.

Eventually this will probably be a piece that is cast, although if we put in our own CNC then we could keep making them here for less than the rediculous amount they are going to cost now.

Then you can start CNC porting your own heads.

I don't even want to think about how much the lease is on a 5-axis machine.

We have a 5-axis CNC here at work, if you could get me the model file I could have it made within 2 weeks. Just a thought....

[EDIT]
BTW, it would be made for free... the machinist owes me a favor.
[/EDIT]

I guess the work can be done on a 3 axis with a 4th axis arm or something. I don't know much about it.

I appreciate the offer on the machining but the problem is with the program for doing the work, that's the hard part from what I understand.
