rraulston,
There is a procedure for filling them back up. It's basically reving to 3000 over and over. It's in one of these threads about ticking noises.

ultraflip,
Yes it's possible. But you really need to forget about the idle and worry about the potential damage an out of place rocker is doing. Ultimately it's possible to drop a valve this way since the rocker is pushing on the spring and not the valve it's self the keepers could pop out. Your concerned about a small problem when it sounds like you have a bigger one to deal with.

You can unplug the crank sensor. (plug at back of cam cover that faces down)
This is will cut both spark and fuel.

Will the TICK/TAP or whatever, cause damage to the motor, if it is just a stuck lifter?

Thanks

Just wanted to thank Timzcat for posting this useful info. Did a cam install today with some friends and took a few pics and a video. I threw all of this info up on my website. Hope this helps.

Nice write up. I sent this to someone who works on EvoMoto's instructions for incorporation if you don't mind.
I was going to get the pics for him but never did. I don't know if they were updated yet or not.

They are more than welcome to use the pics and/or video. Have them contact me directly if they need the originals for any reason.

My engine didn't make any noises for a week, but after I got a reflashed, the engine starting tapping loudly. I haven't asked if my installer bleed the lifters yet. Can the tapping noise be heard after a week of the installation? I didn't full throttle it until today after the reflash...does that make a difference if the lifters weren't bleeded?
