Hey guys what do you think about this combo.

The White Rabbit Turbo, going into a Helix O2 Housing with Jet Hot Coated Headers from www.Phoenixturbo.com. So far I have TBE, CAMS, Fuel Pump, Cone Filter and Dynoflash. What kind of power will I be making after the White Rabbit upgrade.

Well, jury's still out on my new White Rabbit. I installed it over the weekend and while I haven't attempted to start dialing in the tune, it doesn't make much difference over the stock turbo with the same tune, same boost (~20 psi) and the same pump gas. Numbers through the MAF are about the same and SOTP is about the same. Boost controller settings are the same to get the same level of boost. Slightly more lag at cruise RPMs, but nothing unacceptable. On-board e-dyno (Blitz Powermeter) shows maybe a 10 hp gain but not much more, whereas with cams there was a big jump on the e-dyno (like 25-30). Hopefully, I see more gain with tuning and find a big boost leak or other explanation for the lack of gain in performance. But any gains I see from here are not comparable to the stock turbo because now I'm tuning with a UTEC that I installed just before the WR.

EVO8LTW,

Did you honestly think that you were just going to bolt the turbo in and just realize an incredible power gain?!

The difference in flow from stock dictates that quite a bit of tuning is needed to realize the full potential of this unit. I'm sure that once you get it tuned you'll be singing a different "tune"!

Patience, grasshopper, when you can ****** this pebble from my hand, it will be time for you to go............

Take it to the track, turn up the boost, throw in some race gas, lean it out, add some timing and kick some ***!

They (soon to be) wife said yes to my dreams. However, I don't want to add up what it's costing me.

I didn't expect a big jump in power without tuning, but I did expect a jump in the MAF flow numbers without tuning.

Is it just me, or doesn't the MAF come BEFORE the turbo? Correct me if I'm wrong here........

how would you be sucking more air? The turbo doesn't suck, it blows, and from what i understand, it blows into the throttle body, correct. The MAF simply meters incoming air from the intake, correct?

I'm not a real "motor" guy, but this all seems to make sense to me.

Think about it.......

It has to suck in more air if it blows out more air.
