In order to make 441 whp without cams - IMHO - it would have to reach at least 30 - 33 psi of boost on that turbo.

I guess more patience is in order

What !!! 441 WHP without cams? I am going to go crazy if that is true. I will be the next king of the highway, because I am crazy enough to go Top Speed. Imagine the possobilities with so much power and a final gear..... Ohh man. Screw messing with cars. I am going to go after Bikes... AL, I can't wait to see what you can do to this turbo. Actually I might need a towel after you are done tuning it. for life.....

See you in Chicago soon

I too am only interested in how this turbo does at 20psi compared to the stocker.

Please people, don't forget to post your results after a run on the dyno.

I'm the person robertrinaustin was talking about. I've just recently changed from the 3076 to the 35 and can tell you that they spool virtually the same. But where the 3076 starts going flatline on you, the 35 is really starting to shine. My power band is currently from about 4000 to 7500 rpm and it will just take your breath away. Huge difference between turbos.

Personally I do NOT care if the WR can make more power with MORE boost.
Why is running 23 psi a bad idea on pump if you have correspondingly adjusted timing advance? If this turbo can hold boost better at 23 psi, then it might make more power in the high rpms with more boost and less timing.

Just for argument's sake, can a GT35R make more power than a stock turbo at 20PSI or does it only make 500+HP when you crank it up to 35+?

Definitely more power at 20 psi with a 35R.

Yes i personally witnessed an AMS built GT35R turboed evo and it made 360 whp at 16psi. Impressive to say the least.

becuase the idea with pump gas tuning is to run the least amount of boost to net the power you want, not to limit your timing (torque), especially in the upper rpm ranges, just to say "I make/hold 23 psi to redline"

I too am interested to see how it really stacks up vs stock or vs the TM units - for most people. We know what the GT series turbos net on pump and race gas, just need to see how this stacks up against other known units.

What I don't understand is why does the Kit from AMS run $4,500 and then what ever for Installation. When I can get the same turbo that AMS has for $2,000 with Jethot Coated Headers and wastegate. I am missing the point here guys. The WR turbo is $1,500 ? Who comes up with these prices. Ok WR I understand because they have spent 2 years trying to perfect it and no doubt that thing will be amazing but the rest of the vendors, why is everything so much? I don't mean to rip on anyone and I will never do that, but it's just me. I want to know what I am paying for...... If it's the name or the actual product.

Im pretty sure just bolt-on turbos usually run from $1200-1500 depending on the upgrade, God knows who comes up with the pricing, we all know its not THAT expensive to make this stuff, companies like AMS, RNR, ect are making BANK on all these kits and the labor!

Two words:

Research and Development. That's almost ALWAYS where the cost goes. It's not the fabbing that actually costs a whole lot.
