Ok guys,

Fair enough. When I have the opportunity to get back up to Austin for a dyno day, I'll be pleased to repost the most recent version of my dyno sheet. I'm not hostile Rez, I just think that everyone that is whining about this should work on being patient. As you can see, as soon as thier patience wears thin, they begin to start giving remarks like, "oh, the turbo must be bunk because no one is putting up numbers..." "Oh, it isn't holding boost so there must be something wrong with it......"

Hey man, it's all cool......... Just a matter of being grown up about it. Sorry if I sounded hot under the collar, but I earn my cash pretty much the same way as everyone else around here...... the hard way........ If I had unlimited funds there are a bunch more things that I'd like to do to my car...... in due time.....in the meantime, I'm patient.

Peace

Tony

honestly....of all the people who bought one of these turbo's....you would be the one who we all wouldn't be hostile to....at least you are keeping us in the loop about the whole thing....my question is for everyone else who has this turbo.....where is everyone???

Of course I'm kidding.
The only people that are putting down this turbo are the guys who can't get their hands on one, like Dynoflash. The guys that have it seem to love it and 50HP on the top end is nothing to sneeze at.
Seems like you're getting great results from it, but for some reason, people on here think you owe it to them to mod your car and post up results like you make money from doing so.

Like Macy Gray said in "Training Day,"

"YOU DON'T PAY DA RENT, N!GGA!

Hey, I've kept people in the loop too. I won't have numbers until this weekend. I'm dropping my car off today.

Agreed, Tym Switzer, Robert, Zeus, Fast Frank, etc...have done nice right ups and posted numerous vids and graphs for hours of entertainment and education! Props to all of those guys who are just trying to help. They do not have to post anything so thanks guys! Keep it up.

Al has good head to head comparo points but to clear up some confusion noone should be focusing on a solid boost # to limit pump gas tuning to. Just like there is no "perfect AFR" there is no safe PSI limit. Sure we know the recommended pump gas PSI range for the 16G but that has little to do with the recommended PSI range of the WR. Right now anyways.

If we are dealing with a true 700 CFM turbo there should be gains at the same boost pressure if we assume there is spare octane in the gas to support it. As we have shown with a cold blowing turbo there is enough octane in CA 91 to support 75+ more WHP than a stock turbo. The point of this is if there enviromental factors and the octane in the gas is sufficient then noone should be scared to run 25+PSI to make the power since safe combustion needs are met.

What will be interesting is if this turbo is 100% of what is advertised then flash tuners are going to be faced with having to really work the software to account for being at the top of their map limits. (It can be done but this is were you pay for talent), I kinda predict that we will see some bad dyno charts and some real good ones until all the tuners figure things out.

if not......then i understand why you're all hostile cause you waisted 1500 bucks on a stock turbo with a shiny wheel....
Are you as dense as you sound? You make that statement after Tony has already posted a dyno sheet with before and after graphs. Tony has given more information than probably any wr owner yet, and you direct your statement at him... It was on a mild tune with a boost leak and still showed 20+ peak wheel and almost 50 up top. Gimme a break. You need to stfu and buy one, or stfu and wait. Not everyone has an awd dyno near them, and those that are close aren't always accessible. Very soon here in Austin, (August) alot of evos will hopefully be attending a dyno day (if we can get it worked out with the shop) on a low reading mustang.

You will get graphs of :
Stock turbo stock cam cars
Wr stock cam car
Stock Turbo cammed cars
Wr cammed car
Wr cammed + alky
35r cammed cars

All from the same dyno on the same day.

Everyone freaking out needs to be quiet and wait. People have lives / jobs / families that take precedence over our evos and your desired dyno numbers. Our group just got tuned and ready to dyno this past weekend. In time there will be numbers upon numbers to look at. I know of someone getting dyno'd this week with a 272/272 WR. They ARE comming so please stop jumping on those who have this turbo and have not gone straight to a dyno.

PS: My butt dyno is very pleased as are the butts of several passengers I've had in my car. I couldn't be happier with my purchase, and if I wasn't I would be the first to share my displeasure. This turbo makes me smile everytime I hear it comming to life . Sorry for the ranting...

Just curious what engine management the WR cars will have?

Joe, over the past you have said some fairly idiotic remarks, I think this takes the cake though.

Why would you say that I can't get my hands on this turbo ?

If and when I need one I will just order one.

I am NOT "PUTTING DOWN" any thing. I am merely engaging in an online discussion about a new product - end of story. Like I said before in this thread, I am excited to try out the new turbo and see how it fares. I am as happy about the prospects of the turbo as everyone else.

I have two customers comming in next week to tune on WR's which they have purchased and I will be pleased to post the dyno data I obtain. Both of them previously had TME turbos so it will be interesting to see how the WR compares to the TME.

Being able to hold a few more psi of boost and make a bit more power up top is not very helpful to those who run pump gas and who should not be running 23 or 24 psi.

.
What about the guys lke myself on the stocker who push 22psi daily. My car made very good power ont he dyno flashed with 22psi, (then obvioulsy tapering to 19.5).

How is holding more boost up top on pump gas not helping? There are numerous DSM guys with 50 trims running 24-25psi on 93 making 400+awhp. I cant see why a car like mine that can afford to run 23psi solid on pump is so bad

As Vishnu has said before above, a lot of how much PSI you can run depends on how the turbo works. There is no bright line number for how much boost you can run. Generally, on a more efficient turbo with lower charge temps and less back pressure you can run more boost at the same octane without detonation. After I tune one or two WR's I can get a feel for how they effect the knock threashold and how much boost to safely run on pump gas.

As for the flash, we have already sorted the code to the extent that we are able to get GT35R cars to run well on the reflash up to 500 whp so a WR with usual supporting mods will be no problem.

Of course, it will be sevreal weeks at least until I am able to support WR tuing with through tha mail flashes.

Stock turbos are out of their efficiency range at redline even at 20 PSI. That is a case of not enough effective octane to quell the effects of a very hot inefficient charge. As well as plainly and simply too small of turbo for what you want to do. The system and tuner makes what it can make with the hardware/octane/environment it has to work with. You mention a 50 trim that is a way bigger turbo with a later onset of boost and a denser CFM per PSI. The limit here is octane only. There simply isnt enough at some point. The "perfect" pumpgas turbo is one that still has reserves of cool air to create the charge dense enough to utilize the available octane while being in the efficiency zone. Even so there may only be enough octane to support say 15PSI at redline even though that turbo could "Hold" 35 PSI there.

This is about hardware management and the utilization of all available octane to combust not quell a superhot overworked turbo charge. The 16 g isnt your answer its a great turbo but it does what it does.

Cool. I would be coming for a custom flash of course, no mail-in. But like most others, I want to see what this can turbo can do on pump gas with cams and obviously flashed before I install injectors, the turbo itself, blah blah. It may be exactly what Im looking for or it might just be better for people who tend to run race gas, hopefully it hits nice numbers on pump!
