Smooth shifter?

Anyone have a shifter kit that makes the GSR less notchy? Ive been reading up on short shifters and feeling various cars...a friend has a kartboy shifter + bushings and its still notchy and stiff...then I tried a stock MR and its VERY smooth/not notchy which is what I want. I see some people say the B&M's reduce notch and a weighted shift knob will help out too.

if anything a short shifter might make it more notchy. The only real thing you can do to have your gsr shift like a mr is switching to a better tranny fluid.

install a stiffer front engine mount, it will eliminate notchy shifting at high rpms

I have a forge motor mount as my first thing to cure a little of the notch while under load, but I sat in the MR last night and rowed the gears and it felt smoother (I know the shifter is taller therefore it is easier to get into gears) I was hoping there was some shifter that just decreased the notch...seems like some people have it, some dont...mine isnt bad but after feeling the MR shifter I liked it.

MR shifter cables are Teflon coated hence the smoother/easier shifts.

The motor mount really helped with high RPM shifting...it goes in like butter. But normal shifting around 3-4k rpm are still notchy, I even have all the shifter bushings too. The only thing that helps the shifts is if you pause slighting in nuetral before shifting into the next gear. I still cringe everytime I change gears and it nothces in...I HATE it so bad, but you have to take the bad with the good. I just hope it is not killing my gear synchros since i just had them replaced on the TSB.

I thought all the IX's had teflon coated shifter pieces. I notice the notch with the car off and just rowing the gears vs the MR's.

Syncroshift only helps a little. The motor mount helps much more. Hoewever, neither will get rid of the notchiness completely.

Nope only thing that changed in the IX's tranny was the gear ratios.
