EVO Staged Upgrades???
Hey guys i was wondering on who is running with staged upgrades like AMS and Buschur. i'm trying to save my pennies and i was looking real hard at the buschur kit but i'm looking at not to loud noise levels. i understand that pretty much the good TBE are pretty loud but i'm going to be running the high flow cat also. the bullet muffler caught my attention. i have a IX RS thats a DD and i would like to start on road racing and occasional drag time also. pretty much i want to know how people like the upgrades and numbers would be great.
thanks

Buschur stages are excellent. Well made, well priced, nothing extraneous. If you get the hi-flow cat with the magnaflow exhaust option, that's one of the best power/noise combos, as far as the staged upgrades go. Speaking purely from experience. Also, if you do a search, there are about 10,000 threads on this very same subject. Good luck.

cool thanks for the info! i did a search on staged upgrades and it took awhile and gave me a fatal error message with no results... twice. but i'll look into searching for the magnaflow system since that was the first combo that caught my eye. i also like the JUN B.L catback the sound is amazing.
get the WT/BR stage one kit, you will be very happy! I also have the BR with the magnaflow but cat delete and get compliments form all of my Evo bretheren on the weay it sounds.
Buschur Racing is the way to go...

The Buschur exhaust is pretty straight through - and thus pretty loud with the bullet muffler. I was running it with the HF Cat and it was simply too loud for me with interstate driving (speeds of 75+mph is was difficult to carry on conversations). When it was around town I loved it. I'm running the quieter magnaflow muffler now; huge difference.
As for the AMS Exhaust; I've heard nothing but good things about it's sound. I like it on the cars I've heard.
Both fit the IX well - downpipe included so no worries. I'd mention IX when you order just to be sure.
Get your exhaust and a tune; and you'll be close to 400hp crank - plenty for road racing! Upgrade your brake fluid, get a rearsway and you'll be set! Check out my sig; that's about all I've done.

If you are interested in going the JunBL way, I have the JunBL CBE for sale. Here is the link: https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/sh...d.php?t=236294. I'll be posting new pics later this evening.
