fpevo green dyno numbers
blockhed79's first post lists AEM EMS as a mod. Also, keep in mind that 21 psi on an AEM MAP sensor is like 23 psi on most boost gauges. Still great numbers though.
you're right, i forgot he has the aem...however, most people run 22-23 psi on 93 (he's running 21psi) so i still think 400whp is perfectly attainable on pump on the stock ecu.
Hey John
Hey I left adam a PM witrh my number so we could hook up.John did you ask him if he would run?? Please check your PM"s adam I left you my number. We should all meet up.
Something that I found from some time ago. A lot of people have most likely seen it but Im sure some will find it interesting.
My mind was running wild this weekend about the 20G, stock turbo, GT35r's etc.
I was thinking about a car that came in and made some good power, around 450 whp. I left about the same time the customer did in his car, with my car making around 330 whp. We rolled out of town and both hit the gas at the same time, I left him. We didn't run more than maybe 3rd gear and into 4th for an instant. I figured he didn't try. Few days later I hear from him and he says, "Dude, that car of yours is insane, what kind of power did it make?!" I told him and he just didn't understand it. Granted had the race been longer it would have been another story.
Anyway, I start thinking that I saw something in the dyno that would measure "time" on a dyno pull. Then I got to thinking about how many times I have been asked what turbo would win from a roll on the street.
This morning I came in and started doing some comparisons. What I found was extremely interesting.
I cannot lay the runs over top of each other by time, I wish I could as I'd love to show this. You guys will have to settle for the raw numbers.
My RS with the 20g-9 on made 331 whp and it ran from 3,000 rpm to 7,000 rpm on the dyno, on pump gas in 3.77 seconds.
A customers car with Stage 4, sheetmetal intake manifold, pump gas+alky, steady 25 psi of boost to redline and a GT35R made 365.2 whp and ran from 3,000 rpm to 7,000 rpm in 5.91 seconds.
Wow, that is a pretty substantial difference. 2.14 seconds faster from 3,000 rpm to 7,000 rpm in 3rd gear. No need to tell you which car would have won this race from a roll, atleast in 3rd gear. That explains the other race. The lag is a killer from down low.
Granted if you put both these cars into a lower gear so the GT35R would be at a higher starting RPM it could change everything. I just found this interesting.
Enjoy.

^^ good find steve
Just goes to show .. picking a turbo is more involved then just buying the biggest most expensive one out there. Driving style plays a big factor in picking a suitable one.

Well lets just say this turbo is great. My car just put down 400awhp and 362awtq at 21psi tapering to 19 on straight PUMP GAS ONLY. The spool is near stock but it pulls like a train. I am very happy with this and want to thank Robert from Forced Performance for such a great product, his turbos never disappointed me and always produced great numbers. The car has more in it so more numbers to come in the near future. The car is 03 with a new bottom end(crower/weisco), aem ems, 3.5 turboback, 02 housing, IC with piping+ tial, hks 280's + cam gears. If there is people in my area who want to be personally convinced let me know and we'll go for a ride, bring change for gas haha.
Lets wait for the snow to clear and my tune to be corrected... I still need to get the sun ignition amplifier to take care of the misfire up top.
definately interested in this turbo... but what was up with that 50 trim...that evo shouldnt have pulled as hard as it did. but still that is great...i think i might just stick with my T04R though...just get a stroker instead...
but i love FP they tore it up in the DSM world and now killing it again with the GreenEvo

Pete I got your PM, check your box. As I have mentioned I am not here to prove I have the fastest car, if people have issues with me racing John I'll race another 50trim and we can see those results. I think we all know by now that everyones car is different. Fpgreen turbo is a great bang for the buck with being capable of 400who on pump and close to 500 on race gas depending on mods and dyno's. Tom next time we'll try to get runs done during the day.
well i thought they were great vids. and if you have 400whp...then you have 400whp...that is just it plain and simple, if you were to race another evo with exactly the same HP it would be all about your quicker spool. the only issue i have with the vid is that the 50 trim looks really really weak. i could see it slowly falling behind...but you destroy it.
and BTW the point you were trying to make by posting this (that the Green is a great turbo) is recieved by me. nice numbers...nice car...nice vids
