So, assuming similar spool, and both cars close to full weight, Blockhed's should be somewhere close to a 124mph trap on pump gas ? (333whp on BR dyno)...

This seems a bit optimistic, though...

^^^ Now that I think of it, you must have your numbers wrong - when DB made 450/450 on his MD dyno, he trapped 128mph with the green turbo.

Not likely that he trapped 124 with only 328whp, even on his low-reading dyno...

Nope, Dave Buschur has posted those stats multiple times. Here's what I found in a quick search:

https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/sh...&postcount=665

https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/sh...&postcount=380

EDIT: In case anyone's wondering, this was a 6-blade 20G -- the predecessor to the 20G9-5, which was the predecessor to the green/LT.

So he trapped 124mph when making 328whp on his MD dyno, but trapped 128mph with the FP Green (which I am sure I have read made 450/451 on race gas on his dyno)

Maybe the 450whp with the Green was done on a Dynojet for marketing purposes?

I think Buschur recalibrated his dyno at some point, IIRC. Originally, it read WAY LOW. Now it should read like other Mustang Dynos.

So this mustang dyno reads about 60whp lower than his last dyno on pump gas?

Another datapoint is that a local here made 360 on the BR dyno (white rabbit VIII turbo + BR stg 4 + 93 + meth + stock ECU) and trapped 117 in 90 degree weather (multiple times at different tracks).

What makes me think I will beat him? ummm if we race from a roll, ya know since I suck at launching.....

What does 370whp on Buschur's dyno equate to at the track?
And I'm sick and tired of people saying that the stock appearing, 10.5 hotside, FP green can compete with a well designed 50 Trim kit.... I'm sick of it .....
I have nothing against you people who are going for this turbo from the price standpoint, but when you try to compare a "stock looking" turbo to a turbo kit using totally different manifolds, and hotsides is what ticks me off...

another thing that people need to realize is that not everyone, not your average joe can replicate the track results that Dave Buschur and Curt Brown can with this turbo or whatever turbo they're running.... To date I have seen many FP green dyno charts and whatnot and I have yet to be impressed.

I honestly dont mind if I'm proven wrong. I actually would love to see an FP Green perform as well as the 50 Trim and for it to be the norm for the average joe EVO owner.....

So what big deal, I trapped 116 with a crappy 2.0 60' time launch, crappy shifting, and with 380 AWHP on Turbotrix's dynojet.........

Ohh and if you are referring to me, dont worry, each time I have gotten out to the track I have gotten better and faster.... remember I am my own biggest stumbling block, and I am working on my driving, launching techniques.

you do need to work on ur driving before ya start talking...

i dont understand how its possible to get a 2.0 60'

if you want me to teach you how to launch pm me... but i know u hang out with mike1023 and he's attempted...

i suggest u turn the boost down to wastegate and spend a day launching and get it done... theres no reason why u shouldn't know how to drive it thus far... you've had the car for how long?

you have a very fast car, time to start posting kill stories =-p

cheers!

I've had my car since June 27, 2005. I dont get a chance to get out much to the track since I work a full time job, and have other responisbilites to attend to that I'll easily choose over "going to the track" in a heartbeat.

I know Mike1023, and we've hung out on a few rare occasions. He's also gave me some tips on how to launch but I'll admit I was afraid to launch the crap out of my car. If you have me a FWD Honda to launch I'll launch the crap out of it, but I do know launching an AWD car is different. Maybe one day I'll get the technique down pat.

ohh and the comment on "working on my driving before I start talking" well I know I have to work on my driving, I'm just being "vocal" and doing all my "talking" about the claims people make that the FP Green can be an equivalent to the 50 Trim.... I'm talking about making power here......

If you people want me to shut up show me a dynochart from a dynojet of an FP Green EVO making 485+ AWHP and at least 420+ TQ DYNOJET NUMBERS.....

Use 93+Meth, use C16, use 100 octane gas, horse **** or whatever on this FP Green, max out the boost to 29-33 PSI, upgrade to the best wastegate you can find, strap it to a dyno, do a few runs and post up the charts.....
