12.0 @ 116 huh???? not too shabby at all, Adam is a bit better than me at drag racing for sure.....

In all sincerity I hope that his car can pull much better trap speeds than 116 if he's gonna run me from a roll.... I was pulling 116 traps on my stock EVO 8 turbo with worse driving....

Hey Adam, why not a C16 race gas, max boost pull at the track?

Do you remember your 1/8th MPH breakdown? I usually go to 1/8th mile tracks and am pretty familiar with breaking down timeslips from them.

So to keep everyone posted the 12.0 was my best pass, missed 3rd a few times. Not to make excuses but this is my first time at the track in 3 years lol. The car was on pump gas and stock psi in the tires. I was spinning hard out of the hole no matter how I feathered the clutch. As I get more practice, weather gets warmer and lower the pressure in the tires I can see this car going 11.7's on pump gas. Charlie you told me that I'm racing you on race gas, which from what I can see I'll do 120+. Bottom line is I went to get a few clean passes and leave under my own power. I didn't want to do race gas because it was my first time out. I'll be going to track next friday to run some 12's.

Maybe you need a better tune. Also make sure that your boost gauge is accurate. My BIGGEST issue on my VIII was that I was believeing my Defi D was in fact accuratec and would not dare up the boost.

WOW! I thought as my boost would spike to 25PSI and HOLD 22PSI until 8000RPM's, my Evo is MAGICAL!!! IDk why people say the stock turbo tapers. Mind you this was on a 2003 Evo VIII 9.8 turbo 100% Stock to the 02 housing. I had basic boltons, a poor flash, and 272's and All I could muster was 12.3 @ 113 but I would do it like clockwork, never faster or slower. My 60-foots were 1.68. Turns out I was never hitting anything higher then 19PSI, maybe 20PSI. Just immagine how much faster I could have gone with a True 23PSI on pump, possibly 40 more whp

Since then I have purchased an AEM Tru-Boost, it uses a map sensor, it is VERY VERY accurate.

My last project would be to get some good gauges......
monitoring the cars vitals are important... I'm hoping to get a AEM UEGO, SW oil press, oil temp, water temp and boost guages before the summer is out...

I just completed tuning my son's car on a VERY LOW reading Mustang Dyno. For comparisons, stock a Evo VIII with 3" exhaust, CAI, turbo trix tune and 272 cams got 209whp/211 wtq. My son's IX with BR 3" exhaust, 680's, test pipe, HKS 272 Exhaust, water/meth injection, Dynoflash tune, 20g-LT turbo, custom licp, BR deluxe fmic put down 329whp/ 280 wtq. Heartbreak dyno doesn't begin to tell the story. Anyway, I rented the dyno for 2 hours and began tuning. The car has 101 gas and a mixture of 70/30 meth/water injection. First numbers before starting were 326/311 ( I had already modified the previous tune) but at about the crossover point, whp/wtq both were dropping about 8-10 whp and wtq, then picking it back up. Also, about 4500 there was another 6 or so drop and it also picked it up after about 7-800 rpms. After about 6 or so changes to Mivec, AFR and Timing, I was able to get 360.091 whp/ 375 wtq. Currently, these are the highest numbers on this dyno since it's so new. Don, with Mustang Dyno had just left a day or so earlier and was very comfortable with the dyno's performance so the numbers are the numbers. Also, for comparison, this same car with stock turbo, custom tune, without Snow water/meth injection, without testpipe made 299whp/301wtq on Buschur's dyno. After adding the above changes plus BR O2 housing, ported hotside and Dynoflash tune, it made the 329/280 on this dyno. Not sure why it's so low, but 06 WRX with Stage 2 tune, exhaust and not sure what else, made 221whp/230?? wtq. A "built" Honda that made 270+ dynjoet only made 180 Mustang. So, with all of this said, I'm pretty pleased with the 360.091/375. I know I still have some power left in it, but 2 hours was enough to get me going. Now, today I may be taking my own Evo to get comparisons.

Just came back from the Dyno again. Base run was 350whp/375wtq today. Down 10 from 2 days ago on the whp, but same on wtq. I increased the numbers to 370whp/403wtq with the curves even flatter. Will try to post up the sheet after I scan it.
