Wow, I'm amazed. I would never do that to my car since it's my daily driver, but you have quite a project going sir!

i love this project... but the only thing i would do differently is buy a wrecked evo and build off that... since youre already doing so much work... it might've been cheaper, than using a perfectly good one.. ya know, then you could keep the nice one as a d/d or somethin? and race the wrecked one...? but still a CRAZY project nonetheless

I got a few pics of the car sitting at very very close to its ride height with the doors, fenders and bumpers on. Ill have to figure out which camera they are on and then Ill get em posted up.

I did have to trim alot more out of the rear to get them to clear throughout the whole range of suspension but thats about done now. I just gotta clean up the body some more and start building the mounts for it.

The rear should be finalized soon with the body mounts and parachute stuff. Not sure how long it will take to have the rear end built for me but at least it will all bolt in once they finish making it for me. After that I suppose I will finally finish the front suspension and steering.

Trine,

Looking over your design don't forget the upper seat support and are u sure the rear x section is 25.1e spec?

i've only done stock pan 25.5 & 25.2 cars

If your up for recomndations i would do a neil chance bolt together converter and a Rossler Built PG or Th400 his terminator 2 series will b emore than neough because of the light weight and low tq (no offense) just make sure you tell him it has to be SFI approved so he can put the right bellhousing on the th400 and the dedinbear case on the PG.

What size tire is that, looking at the pics it look like a 15x30x10.5w but not sure

Sorry Ill get the pics tonight

25.1 has nothing to do with the rear of the car so long as it is all chromoly tubing. The rear is also not finished yet.. then again nothing really is. The upper seat support is the tube connecting the main hoop from one side to the other so it is there.

The tires are 14.5 treadwidth, the center of the tires are 17.2" wide and they mout on a 15 X 14 rim.... (15 X 32 X 14.5)

Well sorry for lacking on the pics of the body sitting on the chassis. I honestly should have those up by tomorrow. I also finished the center (cockpit area) of the chassis tonight (Funny car cage, floor, roof, etc, etc) so Ill post those pics up as well. I still need a few bars in the back and need to mount up the parachute but thats all pretty simple comparativly. The front end is what I will start up on next but I need to mock up the engine and trans to make sure the steering will clear everything first. Im most likely going to use Buschur's engine -> trans plate to bolt those together and fabricate my own engine plate to hold that up. Im hoping by next weekend to have a jig made up to hold everything in place for the front... the front end is also pretty simple once I get the correct measurements and jig made up so it SHOULD be a rolling chassis within the next two weeks

This car will definitely be MOVING when you get done. I can't even think about what times it will be capable of. Makes me feel all warm inside.
