I guess Ill admit I got a few photos from your tube car sitting in the shop to help keep me thinking that there isnt that much left to do Your cars just always end up looking so perfectly clean. It is just a steep learning curve for me considering I didnt even know how to install a dzus fastener before this moreless tig weld. I spent more time teaching myself how to tig weld than I did notching pipes or welding them.

Yeah I thought so too..

I give you guys a huge bit of credit to go through this much work and enduring the abuse of people complaining about it no longer being an Evo.. I'm going a similar route as Evotech (considering he's a friend of mine who is also from LI) and taking a car I was already cutting up to put a v8 originally and putting a 4G63 drivetrain into..

Although EVERYONE is much further along than I am at this point.. I suck..

1) the value of my body is only worth its weight in chemical components.. about $7
2) I need those to keep my projects in check

3) need more of #2 to think I'm any good at it.

Yeah I do have several projects going on.. Nothing anywhere as elaborate or cool as This though..

Time... Not much to do in our town besides work and drink!
Space... 3 of us rent a shop, 3 different cars all going about the same idea.
Money... You'd be surprised at how much you can strip and evo and get back out of it by selling parts.

I thought he was crazy when we were just hanging out in the shop drinking one night and he got the bright idea to start cutting!

The other guy that shares the shop still gives him **** due to when he got the Evo he said he wasnt going to put any mods on it. Who would have thought that would have led to a 300lb body with no floor, trunk pan or front end and now relies on tubes to hold it together!

Good work!

I think we need to buy stock in Vodka...

this is an awesome project. Nothing like seeing someone go "you know what, I think I can make this work..." it always ends up very interesting.

I guess 507 got most of it

I dont have many other hobbies so I just watch movies, go to bars, go to work, play with computers and play with cars. Im an equal oppurtunity kinda guy

The space started out as a place to store our cars for the winter. We found a spot but the rent was kinda high and there was enough room for another car to easily fit so he joined in the garage.

The money is mainly because I spent so much on parts already. Sold 90% of those and got a little extra off the stock stuff (Brakes and suspension and the stock engine). Its no where near enough money but it was enough to get me started.
