Tim,

So sorry to hear that you have to sell the car. You have put your heart and soul into this build. I only hope it ends up with a worthy new owner. I wish AMS would buy it. Considering the the engineering and time involed, it is a very fair price. I wish you the best of luck. Screw anyone who is bashing the car. This is one hell of an achievement.

Quote: And so it ends. 18k for a completely cut up and destroyed Evo with no fitted drivetrain or engine? I'm not trying to sound like a ***** or anything but this car will not sell for anything over 4-6k. You can buy low mileage 9's that have suffered minor body damage on ridesafely.com for 6k
Considering the cheapest 25.1E Chassis you could probably find would be around the 8k mark for a prefabbed one, now add the custom dimension part of it to fit an Evo youd be probably around 12k+. Then add the 4 link, suspension, EMS, rims, tires, rear end, chute, seat, harness, brakes, brake componants, steering, etc, etc and an Evo body in perfect condition. Id guess it would be kinda tough to get cheaper than 18k

You found a busted Evo for around 6k. Let me think about the math on this one, Im glad you said something maybe I should raise the price

At any rate, if anyone is interested or knows anyone that may be feel free to give me a call at 507-459-8629. Id be willing to trailer the vehicle anywhere in the continental US assuming the buyer wants to pay the gas My time is free.

We all know that AMS or Buschur should be buying this car. Only reason they don't is for the flack that they would get for not building it themselves. You should reach out to some of the smaller up and coming tuners and make a sales pitch to them. A 7 second Evo would put them on the map real fast and double their business in a week. I wish I was closer to retiement. I would buy this car, a dyno and start selling parts. It is a great combination of promotion to start making big money.

So far it seems that mostly it is smaller shops asking about it. One of them is flying out here to look at it next week I believe. Otherwise there are a few people that race for points that are looking to get into a much faster class for cheap.

I cant speak for AMS or Buschur but I know they dont really mind if they didnt build the chassis. Daves last tube chassis he bought from Gary Reese I believe. Granted Gary has a name and I dont but its still the point

you are...........omg, you make me want to punch a baby!

it sounds more reasonable to be at 25k the way it sits.....and that might still be cheep.

You have to promice your evom friends something. Whom ever you sell it to, they have to keep us as updated as you did about the progress of the car. esp after its running and racing, timeslips videos.....etc.

EvoTech has a very good point. One that was on the top of our discussion about this car. Besides we already have a 25.1 Evo I that we haven't touched in years thats at about the same stages of completion as Trinababes car.

Trust me as a Comp. licensed driver, I would be all gitty about finishing either car and running DEEP into the 7's!
